Just wanted to say that I am enjoying WP. Finally a squad as well as a pack where I fit in. I have played with many of you and you are outstanding. I just flew in a game with white fang outstanding pilot it was a good game and we won. Both of us were the top shots in this game. I just wanted to say thank you for having me and I love the comradery.

Some of you may know that Glenn Frey, one of the founding members of the band The Eagles passed away at 67 years old.

Any of you that has followed the history of The Eagles knows there was tension between Glenn Frey and Don Felder. Well, Don posted a very nice sentiment about Glenn's passing.

I am in a state of shock and disbelief at Glenn’s passing. It was so unexpected and has left me with a very heavy heart filled with sorrow. He was so young and still full of amazing genius. He was an extremely talented songwriter, arranger, leader, singer, guitarist, you name it and Glenn could do it and create “MAGIC” on the spot. His visions and insights into songs and lyrics have become legendary and will echo throughout time on this earth for decades to come.

Glenn was funny, strong, generous and kind. It was a gift of a lifetime to have spent so many years working side by side with him. At times it felt like we were brothers and at other times, like brothers, we disagreed. Despite our difficult moments together we managed to create some magical songs, magical memories, great recordings and live shows together.

The planet has lost a great man and musician today. None will ever be able to take his place.

Rest in peace Glenn and may God bless you and your family.

i have dogfight elite and instead of shooting straight a head there is bullet drop

Snow I see people talking about dog fight elite. Is it better how is it structured and what are the planes like?

Any thoughts on how Elite with effect the squad, such as:

1.) Will there be two forums?
2.) How will the Air Marshals govern in two games?
3.) Not everyone will play both, I can play Elite on PC, but not as Skeeter, my FB password won't recognize there. And i still cant play Elite on tab, or phone.

I truly hope things will be as smoothly as Zup says they will be, regarding squadrons. Logistically I see a nightmare.

I have seen people talking about it but do not know anything about it. I play dog fight on I phone 6. Is it compatible with that? I like dog fight fine. What is it like?

Troops.. Let's talk about DF elite for a second.. I agree wih Skeeter, the duplication issue could be a nightmare, do we set up two Wolf Packs.. Great questions all, maybe im to much of an eternal optimist, but I don't see Zup shooting himself in the foot (hey I like that bullet drop equation built into elite.. Talk about realism.. Good stuff) Zup is aware that a lot of members value the forum almost as much as the game.. I just can't believe that our forum won't continue as it is.. And why not, it should be easy to have this forum (in total) duplicated on elite.. My computer programming is on a par with your basic resis monkey.. Ok, mabe a tad less, but it couldn't be that hard to have one forum that services both standard and elite DF..

For those of you who would like to see it, go to the videos section and play a few of zups.. You should be able to ID them pretty easy just by the planes and graphics.. Since I'm not putting in a serious flight time yet I personally am going slow and waiting for the tech and forum issues to be resolved..

Morning my dear pack , sorry I'm not in game in the sky hunting reds , I'm actually back in hospital and there no WiFi on this wing , so I ain't able to get on game as this phone wont seem to play the game just crashes to forum , hopefully after some bloods and other , nurse with her needle set ,I may get moved ,

From what I hear of elite its more realistic , better graphics but very hard to adjust to , personally I I cant wait till end of month , should then have new phone to play on as well as WiFi tablet

I have been wondering when this would come up, and I feel we need to address this as a squad.

Here is what I know; In elite the squadrons are intact. If you were a member of Wolf Pack when zup started the beta testing then you are already a member of the squad. This means the overall structure of the squad is unchanged in elite, including everyones in squad rank.

Elite and legacy are different games, yet share this forum.

So the option as I see it is to maintain the status quo, and use what chain of command is currently in place to "govern" both versions. It will be difficult as Skeeter pointed out, but manageable so long as we all stick together as a pack.

This is, and should be, wide open to discussion. The sooner we hammer the details out the smoother the transition to 2 game versions will happen.

Of course the devil's advocate would say start from scratch in elite and "reinvent" Wolf Pack. Or an option would be to have some folks play more in elite, and some more in legacy. This second model presents additional squad officer spots and much more room for advancement in both versions of the game.

Ill be looking forward to everyones thoughts on this.
