That picture reminds me of my neighborhood about five years ago before all of the stores started with the locking devices...

Keep safe, have fun, and don't get too much sun (or wind, if you are in the mid-Atlantic states!). We just got back from a few hours at the county fair. Got a little sunburned. Filled up on italian sausage subs. Yaaaahhhh.

Fire in Julian, about an hour east of us. Could see the smoke plume when it started yesterday. It's bigger today, moving away from us, and I can't see the smoke anymore.

Our vanilla shakes today are topped with blueberry puree and whipped cream with a cherry on top.

Don't know if the Gaithers know they are singing in a bar tonight, but they absolutely knock this version of the Star-Spangled Banner out of the ballpark. Enjoy!

One of the more damaging storms that I've experienced in Florida was TS Faye. It was practically nothing in regard to wind, but it stalled out for almost a week over the state and dropped a non stop torrent of rain. Every development and planning mistake ever made was brought to the surface as countless brand new homes were quickly underwater. It really doesn't pay to buy a house built on drained swampland.

Hope everything up there goes quickly back to normal.

In 2004, we had 3 storms back to back I had no power for 7 days. I bathed in my pool, ate a lot of canned food, and stared at the wall by candle light. lol I think the worst part was listening to the radio for updates, after the second day the radio stations just played the TV news. So the weather man would say, " as you can see on the radar map " that's when I would yell at the radio. I'M LISTENING TO A FRIGGIN RADIO.... lol

I was here for those. The wind was the big damaging factor from them though. I just remember that Faye was a fizzle, until it stalled out over Seminole and Volusia and put everyone under water. Nasty mess...

Yea... Cause I can assure you you won't crash through it. It's fairly well built, so your plane is going to take all of the hit.

So... What'll you have? The bar is open.

Ugh. What a day. Don't ever let anyone tell you that being 6'2" doesn't have its disadvantages.
Apparently, jumping around at a trampoline park works wonders for the spine, especially when some is asinine enough to flip you over suddenly in midair, causing you to land on one shoulder.
As it is, I'm nearly immobilized. Luckily, it's not serious, but still, did I have to sprain the thumb I steer with?
My plane is in the hangar for the time being then. Luckily, there's no shortage of reruns on TV this summer.
You're getting predictable, guys. You can do better, right?

Hey mac get better so you can hold up the phone without pain. Or just play anyway, and yell a lot

I don't think I have a drink for a spine. Well, whatever you're having, I'll make it a double.
