My wife woke me today around 2pm. She was screaming and yelling for me to grab my gun. There was a large racoon sitting in the middle of my front yard. It was acting very strange sort of lethargic. Please excuse my spelling . When I approached it probaly about 30 yards away it recognized that I was there. Expecting it to run off like they normally do this one charged straight after me. It was growing and snarling heading straight for me. I raised my 45 cal. and shot it 7 times. One shot would have probably been enough but I figured might as well empty the gun cuz I will have to clean it anyway. Racoon are really cool animals and I don't like to shot them but a rabid racoon should be shot.
