Jerry, I'm in my 30's. The whole bar thing makes a nice thing to imagine, but in real life, beyond self employment and all, I have no experience whatsoever that would qualify me for the restaurant business. A nice place with good food and live music is a fun thing to dream about, though I'm pretty sure this is as close as I will ever get.
I've spent my adult life in the trucking industry. Mostly as a driver... Unfortunately, the issues that put me in the hospital a couple of months ago have made it a bad idea to keep driving. If I were a company driver, it wouldn't be a big deal. As I'm an owner operator, with equipment, insurance, and accounting bills that don't stop even when I do, this becomes a bit of a problem.
I'm working on plan B,C, and D right now though, and hopefully it will work out.
