It's the closest thing SD will get to a winter. Besides, we'll be needing that rain in this crazy drought.

I was filming over by the southeastern end of Lake Hodges a couple weekends ago. The water is so low. Hopefully these two storms will help the situation.
In sunny places like this, folks don't pay attention to their tires and wear them down to slicks. Then they're surprised when they hydroplane in the rain.
Heck, they can't even drive when it's dry. Just earlier, I passed a rollover accident on I-5 south where the 805 bypass splits off. Looked like someone tried to exit at the last second and cut across the bypass lanes, but didn't quite make the exit. From the looks of the car on the flatbed, they swerved off the freeway so late that they got airborne over the descending offramp and smacked down into it.
Yup looks like the weekend will be a wash. Too bad, everything we've got planned is all outdoors. Was.
