Hey guys,
Man I wish I could catch you guys in a game and fight on your side, just as misfits brothers should do. Schools been a bietch lately, but anyways I wanted to post something that I had already posted on another thread or topic, that I feel is very important to communicate to everyone. So, I'm putting it on our squadron page too. It is in response to Pedrinho's Let's Pray for Our Children:
To reply to the overall topic of this discussion, the time is not now to be praying for the future of our children, now is the time to be making change for the future of YOUR CHILDREN. Only if Americans can become happier, become more trustworthy of each other, more accepting of each other, less partisan, and open to new ideas, will your Children's future be secure. I hear too many adults in scouts when I have this conversation say "I hope it will all work out, or I just want to retire." That isn't how it works. You may absolutely pray, I'm not saying don't, but there is no need to pray if what you can do now will make a difference (even though you may not directly see it).
Smile, be brave, and be open. I charge you this. You will find that the world is full of good and bad people, but mainly good people who contribute to society in many meaningful ways. Let us not pray just yet, but let us find the motivation to get up and take action, and make sure that your children will have the future and life that you've had. Thank you for your attention.
