As our American players know, today is the 16th anniversary of a terrible event in our nation's history.
On September 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked several airliners, flying them into the World Trade Center in NYC, and the Pentagon, our national military command center. Today on the news and other networks, you'll see people recalling the events of that morning, footage of the disaster unfolding, and ceremonies to honor those who died.
Please take a few moments today to remember those who lost their lives that day. Children, mothers, sisters, brothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandparents. Young and old, at work or leisure, they were all Americans.
