Just joined a new squadron and i want to change my username. I tried in game a dozen times but it doesnt work. Can anyone show me how to change username? (and yes its less than 17 spaces)

Go into world chat. Your name is listed top right. 2 buttons are present. Buy and edit. Click on edit. Type in your stuff hit save.

Tried tht a hundread times on both my phone and the ipad but it still wouldnt budge LOOL

I just tried to change mine no luck it may be tempory issue until zup divids the database for dogflight elite. Then allow you to change name in a few months when migration is complete.
