Ok, I just saw a post by Eagle on WC, that the Apple update is scheduled for Jan.

There won't be an update for Dogfight, as Zup has stated that if he does that it will eliminate a lot of the older systems people use to play. Thus, Dogfight is as it will be, no more updates, no fixes, etc.

The Apple release of Dogfight Elite will be the second week of January.

I play on an iPad3, running IOS 9.2 and I rarely have any problems.
