Does anyone in DF world use windows 10?
I tried a early version of it awhile ago
Didn't seem to work right. I couldn't play DF and some other apps.
Not playing DF was the deal breaker.

Just wondering if anyone was using it now that its more popular.

Don't want to install and uninstall again.
Hoping for some advice from many DF family.

OOOPS maybe wrong thread...

You have to install win 8.1 first then upgrade to Windows 10 only then you can load df.

If you install directly window 10 then df will not load. Please email to zuperman on his email ID This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if can fix the df to directly install on windows 10.

Hola Egor! I am using a borrowed PC this days, it had win7 got the WIN10 massage to do the upgrade and did it. Got the DF app and it works. Sometimes I have to try to start it more than once but it works. I have an HP lap top. I know how you feel; I too live afraid of the DF upgrades.

Hi... This problem seems routine for the direct users of windows 10 ... Windows 10 is nothing but a sequence of Windows 8 and ur graphics card (inbuilt) must be sychronised with windows 8 operating sytem or the port dont support windows 10..windows 10 is nothing but a automated sequence of windows 8 ... :) hope u find a solution

Thank you

Help!!!

I started dogfight a month or so ago after I installed the free upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10. It crashed occasionally, but for the most part it has been working without any problems.

I installed a significant update for windows 10 today.

Now, dogfight won't load up... I get the first two screens (first just the word 'dogfight', then the title screen), then it crashes. I've restarted my computer multiple times. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've gone into the windows store to make sure I'm logged into my account. Nothing has worked.

I love this game, and would therefore be eternally grateful for any help anyone could provide.

Cancel... I got it to work. I had to manually select dogfight to work with my graphics card. Stupid windows.

My computer has a dedicated Nvidia graphics card and an intel integrated graphics processor. Apparently when I installed the latest windows 10 update, it 'shut-off' the graphics card, making the integrated processor the default for all my programs. The integrated intel processor is not good enough to run the graphics for dogfight... so I had to enter the driver for the graphics card, find dogfight, and mark it as an app that I wanted run on the graphics card. It worked as soon as I did that.

I should ad that I am generally happy with windows 10... I didn't even have access to dogfight before. But the loss of dogfight was heartbreaking, and finding the solution to get it back was super annoying (2 hours unnecessarily wasted). Hence my 'stupid windows' comment earlier.

I imagine that this will be different for everyone depending on your hardware configuration...

For me, a link to the Nvidia driver is in the 'quick-link' box (that's not the official Microsoft name for it), appearing when you mouse over the arrow on the left-hand side of the taskbar. By clicking on that icon, I get the option to 'customize which programs use the GPU'. Selecting that option opens a control panel, which gives me the option of 'adding' a program. When I select add, a new window opens with a list of my programs. Then I selected 'dogfight' et voila, it runs successfully on the GPU. :cheer:

What I did is to go to Control-Panel->device manager->display adaptor-> It shows me two name one is intel and the other is nvidia. I click on intel and made it disabled. Now the display runs only Nvidia driver. only.

I'm running DF on Windows 10 (upgraded from 7), on a HP Pavilion with a AMD Radeon HD 6530D graphics card.

So far it all runs and looks great. The only problems Windows 10 has cause me at all was a problem with it turning off my WiFi adaptor (apparently a common problem, but updates have apparently solved that issue for everyone.

The other goofy issue I've noticed is that the button to refer FB friends doesn't work.
