A plane silhouetted against an explosion?...It's a bit "In your face". The sort of thing a five year old would wear on a t-shirt. The lettering doesn't really look like bullet holes.

I like the vintage look of the home screen with the sepia photo. It complements the music perfectly. I Especially love the music. A great mixture of old an new. The orchestra and the dramatic build-up give it a historic epic feel, like the soundtrack for a war film (Yes I am a musician).

Please could we have more artwork from the golden age of aviation?

I too like the old splashscreen. But i also think change is something that is not readily accepted. Hence i guess we shall gradually start getting used to the new design.

I've actually asked about 20 people about the splash screen and which one they preferred. About 80% prefered the new splash screen, that's how it came to life.

I personally prefer the old one, but since most went for the new one... I took the chance. The reasoning behind the new one was also with a good point: some people believed the game was hung with the older screen. The new screen seems pretty clear it's not.

I guess it's a matter of taste.

btw, i loved that web site. I've spent the whole morning watching their videos... I wish I could make a real life airplane like those guys

About material... i'd love to, but they have copyrights. I've been looking for some copyright free materials without much luck. I have a few videos but they would add 30 megas to the download just to "watch" something.
