With the time limit, it is very likely that our marksmanship awards will never again be awarded. Those of us who have them are now ELITE in status and those stars say, " I was part of a different era, and was one of the best". I consider my one star a reward for toughing it out. Its like my sea service ribbons (3 stars for susequent deployments). I would look at others and think, "If you have one, you are a sailor, if not you serve in the navy".

You're right. We've always worn those stars with pride. With the timer it makes it impossible to shoot down 100 or more reds. So many wolves worked hard for those stars and now it's a thing of the past.

Perhaps we can come up with a different system to earn something similar to stars.

Such as, number of games won etc. I'm not much of a kdr person, as I think it's better to fight to the bloody end in any game even if outnumbered.

I'm sure we can think of something!

New Marksman ship scores? hmmmmm we could use # for the new award. Say we start at 15 and end at 30. We could do Airman 15, Marksman @ 20, Sharpshooter@25 and sniper @30. In the event thetimer goes away, this new qual does too. We would return to the original way.

I'm game for a "games won" star. For every 250 games won, you get a star. It would show guts, character, and commitment. I'd delete my 4*'s for that in a minute.

I would like to come up with something new to denote achievements in elite, but not sure what. I don't want to diminish the achievements which were earned in legacy df though, otherwise we would have to completely reorganize our MORAF club among other things.

If you get 30 or more kills in elite you are really doing something, you know?

Now that games run for 80 minutes, we might be able to achieve some decent kills/games won etc.
