Hated told me in squad chat he had a game with 56 kills but didn't get a screenshot. Luckily the good folks at Spad Squad were in that game and posted a screenshot of Hated One's kills on their thread. I say that is as much verification as needed to award Sir Hated One his first Wolf Pack Squadron Ace award. Well done, Sir Hated. I get a feeling this is the first of many Ace awards. Wow! First Hated and now Viper earned a one of a kind WP-STAR! That was one tough game with some titans in the sky. What a howling good time as Viper was deadly in sky and making the group howl with laughter all the way---proud to serve with you, Pin that STAR with pride and let's get some wolves to earn one soon! Wow, wow, WOW! Perry has really hit the ground running for sure. For those who are new, PerryDaWolf was with us a while ago and was really quite deadly, amassing what was at the time the most Wolf Pack ACE awards at 6 stars. As a matter of fact Perry was the reason we had to modify the way the awards were annotated because he accumulated so many. Well after a brief hiatus Perry is back and as deadly as ever. Dang Perry, that is quite the party you had there, which resulted in quite the impressive kill tally. You have really become one of the deadliest Wolves in the game, hands down. You may have had reinforcements had you skipped that 9-1-1 call and instead called the Bacon hotline.... you may have got the whole Pack to your rescue my brother!

I was racking my brain the other day as to when I was promoted to MORAF in the old DF1, and doing a search I found the video, from a Dog's eye view as it were. We had a fella, RCFlyer, in our squad in those days, and he and I conspired to rank up to MORAF in the same game. Ah, the good old days......

Back in those days we had 3 "Hunting Groups" led by Digger, our founder, myself, and I believe either Dunc or Sir Husky Dog, depending on the time frame. GI was a squad, MoM was an active squad, there were Misfits, Black Hornets, and a New Lunar Republic.

Viper, great find! Plus I really miss that weather as it added a real element to the game--snow, rain and day/night games were good.
We did have 3 hunting groups because we were large with a lot of active members. I think the game is slowly returning to folks helping each other and flying for the win and not the squad pts. I met two Skywalkers last night I hadn't seen in a long time--great pilots. Plus MEAN has worked hard to get his squad up and running.

We might have fewer, but it's still fun!

Dang, I wish I played earlier to see the weather effects in DF1. Too bad it ain’t there in DFE, it would be cool if zup implemented that as I can’t take the the brightness of the sun in DFE.

It was pretty cool but in the end people figured out how to cheat the system by leaving the game and quickly returning to reset the night back to day to gain an advantage over those who were flying at night. Personally I rarely did that but by the time Zup got rid of the day/night thing almost every player was flying only during the day by leaving and coming back. Too bad folks feel the need to do anything to win and not enjoy the game as intended.

What I thought would be neat is if the weather was stormy making it so the wind would affect the aircraft flight, just like wind does in real life. Talk about a challenge!

Thanks, Dire! I am very happy to be back to a good place in my life where I can do this again. I've missed all of you. Just wish I could live up to your kind words because I'm not very "deadly" anymore! I'm relearning, though, and I hope to contribute once more to our beloved Wolf Pack.
