Holy moly, what a game that was. Sir Dire Wolf has once again proven his prowess in the skies, racking up a grand total of 63 kills (unconfirmed) by the end of this epic game. Hi all, just enjoyed a game with some fellow wolves - Alex the Great, Hated One, & Sid.
During the game I mentioned the DF Pilot “Satan”, and if he was still around. He was actually pretty good, but I always wondered if that whole devil worshipping thing was an act.
Then I mentioned the guy who would get mad during the games and just complain the whole time, like Eeyore -
he would land and refuse to fly because the teams were uneven. It was hilarious!
........I can’t remember his name.
Then there was the guy who would drop and camp the whole game, I think it was Bubi. He would piss everyone off. One time during a game Bubi’s team agreed to suspended their attack while we all dropped and shot the crap out of him. Then he left and the other team waited until we went back to base and reloaded. They just flew around their base and cheered us on. It was so much fun.
Anyway, I started thinking about a lot of the pilots from DF1. There were some real characters, eh?

I remember Satan... haven't seen him in a year at least. The pilot who used to complain and not fly was Pluribus and he was hilarious. He would say it was hopeless, and his team should just give up... stuff like that. LOL. Black Devil Bubi has been around some and still doing the same thing, pissing everyone off. It was nice back then, the game would somewhat police itself and I have taken part in teaching a camper or spawn killer a lesson by pinning him to the runway while his team mates sat and let it happen. You don't see that any more unfortunately. Nowadays it seems to be anything for a win is acceptable behavior. n

Speaking of old time players, how about Mean? That guy would just fly along and kill every thing in sight.

It would take me three runs to kill mean... first one I may get one hit, maybe not. Second run a couple, and then if I was lucky I would finish him on the third run, normally while he was killing me too. LOL.

Ha! I remember Pluribus He was hilarious. I think The Misfits had a pic of him once, plane upside down smoldering in the field, saying "just give up."

Good games today with some Titans of the Skies all in Noob Planes. I'll forget some of the names so apologize-- LEAF, Gid, Viper, Black Bandit, KF to name a few
all joined in. It was good to remember those early days of long games and slow planes. Also, helps us train the new folks in game.

Mean had the meanest plane wobble flying at slow speed out there. You could fire 50 rounds at him and he would bob and weave his way through while cutting you down in 4 hits in a row. It would drive me crazy
