FYI Escadrille, I have lef tthe squadron to help Mr. Becken rebuild Legends.
I will hopefully be back shortly and have every intention of coming back to The £afayette Escadrille! I just don't want y'all to think I have abandoned you, I am just on a short leave! P.s. I might still be sending a few pilots your way via PM. - =£=Pie of Jerry IN YOUR OVEN OR ON YOUR SIX!

jeeeeeeezzz... it's been about 2 weeks since I last played Dogfight and I am seriously suffering withdrawal symptoms lol!!
I hope my laptop gets fixed soon & shipped back to me!!

what my chances joinin ur squad....I never cheat always carry bomb ..even when defendin base...luv to df most all .... I may not be best pilot...but asked doom bout how I get on in this squad she said ..the way they fly it suit me....even doggy complimented me on df skiills ..in game ...he said got get u as ..when u get on my tail ....it bad news..... srry didn't say ji barnstormer an pie ... well thnx for time ...an all best

Read our 1st post here on this thread and it will tell you all you need to know about joining Lafayette.. essentially it's up to our pilots whether or not to invite you to join us... & for the record, we don't really care about if you carry your bomb or not while defending your base.. as a matter of fact, why hamstring yourself when in the purely defensive mode? Drop your bomb & defend then land and rearm with a bomb for your next run lol!

Just a 'heads-up' Bl@ck Wiz@rd.. there isn't any "good enough to join Lafayette" thing.. we have had pilots with totally horrible stats be invited to join us.. it's more about if the pilots feel you will 'fit in' with us vs. any kind of proficient play, etc. AND getting a few of 'em together to share thoughts about asking someone to join us can sometimes be problematical.. (especially the way that Squadron Chat sometimes seems to disappear lol!) NOTE*: Patience is the key to getting into Lafayette, not your stats... some pilots waited for many months to receive an invite to join us!

Hey Folks...welcome to our newest member Vale46. We have been after him for a while and he decided to join us once he reached Moraf. Pleased that he stuck with it. Welcome back Jerry aka Pie. He left briefly to help Becken out with his squad. Welcome aboard...good hunting!

Well everyone I am still awaiting repairs to my laptop and seriously suffering withdrawals from Dogfight lol!
But on the other hand it has given me a chance to read up on that little escadrille we love so much.. (which actually turned into a much bigger one than I knew!) I am currently reading Warriors with wings, the story of the Lafayette Escadrille by Edward Jablonski Pretty good book, with some information in it that I wasn't aware of until reading it. It's a free read via OpenLibrary.org which is one of the best free ebook sites I have ran across. *** Anyways, I miss flying with you deadly killers and look forward to returning to the skies of Dogfight to battle in the air alongside my Lafayette brothers!!(and sisters lol) *** There is also Captaine Georges Thenault detailed flight log for the entire Lafayette Escadrille on there available.. If you read French you can see his actual handwritten notes about flights and pilots during his time as commanding officer of the escadrille!

Is anybody else having trouble being dropped from the game while you're playing.? All of a sudden the game quits and I'm back at the home page trying to get back into the game that quit. Rather frustrating! If it's just me maybe I need to reload the game. Just checking to see if others are affected. Thanks

Haven't been kicked during game but I can neither send nor receive in-game chat. I can type it, it just will not post it. Don't seem to have any problem in world/squad chat though??? Also, the games I've been in have all been CTF. Read in world chat where others have only been able to play CTF. I dunno.....anybody else care to chime in? Good luck. ruusso

Toph, I got tired of it happening just as a game was coming to an end and my side was winning and of course you can't get back into that game … very frustrating. I deleted Dogfight from my iPad and reloaded it. It seems as though I'm not getting dropped but now the on screen display is wonky. Instead of smooth motions everything seems very choppy and almost strobe like in appearance. Of course that's while I'm turning or dogfighting but It makes it hard to aim. I deleted that upload and tried it again but it still does the same thing. I checked my internet connection and it is up to speed and i also eliminated some of the graphic settings, like shadows and such, to reduce the amount of info needed to run the game, but it makes no difference. I'll probably have to check with Zuperman soon. Sorry to hear you are having the same problem with being dropped.
