I'm saying, you'd have to hack it and run your own OS (and Android OS) in order to get it to run.

But you can't run it officially, mate.

if you can download apps from google market place, it will run.
Otherwise you have to wait for it to be approved by amazon (i've submitted it a few days ago).

If you download from google you have to "sideload" and from what I understand sometimes that doesn't work with some apps.

i'd reccomend a regular kindle, not a fire. the fire is backlit, so its bad for ur eyes, u cant use it in sunlight, and it has NO battery life. kinda kills the idea of the e-reader. lol, you do well enough on your ipod! :)

I'll give a review as my freind is definitely going to get ASAP. It's 1ghz dual processor and seems to handle the Internet ok. But as Calvin said its backlit. I did notice it being different. You can adjust the books to look just about anyway you like so it is nice for a reader.

im gonna stick with a real book, or a regular kindle. much better to get it on the kindle, really. cheaper, easier, and doesnt kill trees.
