Hi Everyone,

Every single time I try to join a multiplayer game it instantly says "Lost Connection" and I mean literally as soon as my plane shows on the screen on the runway.

Is there any way I can make this game work? I am using wifi and broadband and I have a strong connection. It seems to be only this game. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work. I have even created a new login account.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW:

I had s similar issue at my home connection - except I kept getting exited out of the game shortly after start, got lost connection.

I had two issues, one the upload speed on my connection was less than 250 kb, I changed networks so up/down 50+ MBytes

The second issue was with the wireless router that caused the same thing, solved that by getting a new router.

To see if this is the issue find another location with good internet access and try it there.

I agree with iQ. Yesterday I was at JFK airport terminal E, and my tmobile was showing 4G at 3 bars, pretty good normally for dogfight. But I kept dropping the connection at spawn. When I ran a speed check, it was a hugely slow connection. So much for 4G!

Yeah I'm in France at the moment so not on my usual network. Just did a speedtest and its giving 315kbps upload so maybe it's a bit slow. I'll have to give it a go when I get home!

Definitely too slow from my experience - frustratiing to get dropped in the middle of a game too, usually just when you have someone lined up

It is a great game and a little addicting - enjoy when you get up and running!

For me on wifi it runs ok on 100ms ping, 2 Mbps download .5 Mbps upload. Locally I can only get 3G even thou they call it 4g
It runs usually under 100ms ping 1.3 Mbps - 1.7 Mbps on both upload and download. Plane has always flown better on wifi than the network don't know why?
After 4 PM till about 8 PM my Verizon Internet bogs down and I start losing connection. Must be the peak usage time.
I'm not sure but I believe it's the ping time that matters because that indicates the speed. I don't think you need a lot of volume to play.

yeah, its just a bad connection. I'm glad you're giving the game a chance, and please don't give up when you see how hard the controls are! ask an ace for help, most will be glad to give you some tips!

I've never personally had this problem -- but I've had to deal with pilots who have it. Really frustrating playing someone whom you shoot and have to wait literally 3 minutes for the hits to register.

*cough cough* chali *cough* lol he lags SO MUCH!!! most people think he hacks cuz he like NEVER DIES! he's a decent player, though. when he dies, at least.

Chalie dies every time now. Z saw our complaints and fixed it.

yeah the connection thing is a pain in the butt.
I'm actually having the issue myself on one of my phones. I figured it was my telephone provider (telefonica), they have a router that mess up the traffic so the server things I'm gone and disconnects me.

Switching connection to anything else, or sometimes rebooting the phone, seems to work.

My advice: Use a router if your phone/device will support it. I've never had any sort of problems when using a router.
