Great game. But there appears no additional advancement past the three option. What am I missing?

1. Craters and live damage would take up precious memory. Some devices wouldn't be able to handle that.
2. Take your throttle down mate. Glide'n'shoot from a medium-high altitude
3. Elaborate.
4. Elaborate.

Did you mean that your plane is being destroyed when you should have immunity? There have always been immunity glitches, it's just something you'll have to play around with.

And about #4, that sounds like a glitch. Hope this helped!

Hi there,

I'm the author btw :)

I only understood the part of bombing the terrain, which is almost impossible to leave a mark on a mobile device. It's just too complex, a piece of cake on a desktop but really hard on an old mobile system. (ipad2, iphone4s and samsung galaxy can do it, but not olders).

The other commments, i'm not sure I understood. You can bomb and kill tanks, and the other way around. We do it constantly :?

Taking this to a simpler step, I agree that showing airfield damage could help the game - but - it does not need to be complex.

When I go to bomb the airfield, I have no idea as to how many hits it has taken (maybe somewhere there is a counter) but simple damaged building(s) that graphically are not hard to build/render but represents two states, complete or destroyed would add another level of both realism and maybe impetus to finish the job (complete destruction).

As a minimum would be nice to know how many hits it had - I find it fun to try to 'sneak' in and bomb and then sneak back to load up again. I do get my a*s shot down a lot doing this. Knowing that one more hit would do it might give more impetus!

Love the game!

More than addicting, even for someones building up the kill list in the opposite direction.

This is true -- but don't we already somewhat have a damage counter? You can see burning/missing hangers pretty easily, eh? :)

I missed it totally! I'll check for it next time in the game.
There may have been a graphic in your post that did not show.

Thanks!

Please don't be offended if I'm wrong, but from what you wrote one might think you were new to the game and were talking about the practice missions. The tanks there aim fiendishly well and will down you at almost impossible distances if you fly carelessly around. The game may seem to end for no apparent reason. The practice tanks are difficult to shoot, but nowhere near as difficult as the tanks in the multiplayer option.

I agree with you that it would be a good idea to allow other objects than the hangars, for example the brick buildings, to show damage after bombing, but I understand that to have such changes in the multiplayer game would increase the amount of data that had to be updated continuously, and would make everything run slower. One may have gripes about things that could have been better, but I think we all agree it is amazing to be able to have dozens of players fly around in real time, in a three dimensional space, connected at least in part through the mobile phone networks, and making the movements appear so true and predictible to the users.

Maybe "practice missions" is not the right name. They are self contained games that you play locally on your own device. They also differ a bit in characteristics from the on-line multiplayer game. That said, they are fun to play in their own right. Until you have completed mission 3 and downed the plane, destroyed the two tanks and bombed the eight hangars successfully, the next mission won't appear.

If you can beat the practice missions, you're a God when it comes to Dogfight. I get extremely good KDR's but even I have never gotten past Mission 5. It's like being at war with aimbot-tanks and aimbot-planes that can make 90 degrees turns. In other words....

:silly: lol jajajaj  :silly: :woohoo: your a riot .
Ya gotta get them 90 degree guys from a distance and don't fly straight into airport. Don't dogfight a plane until he's smoking they turn to fast. Come in on tanks from angle then turn fire and turn or they will get a bead on you.
Hope that helps.

You are correct Stuart, red are enemy blue are allieds.

Keep playing, you'll get good fairly fast!

And no, there aren't really any official rules. Zuperman made the game, website, etc. I just moderate. Just keep it clean and respectful towards others. And have fun of course! If you need anything, contact me.
