I think the tanks on dogfight should have machine guns because it would help them take down airplanes easier. Sure, tank rounds do help when destroying other tanks, but are nothing to airplanes. This makes tanks too vulnerable. If the tanks had machine guns, they might be able to destroy airplanes easier. I think they should also add a machine gun sight so when you click the camera buton you have a machine gun sight.

I agree the tanks should have machine guns but it should be like the one in the parshute firing slow rounds other wise the tank will just be extremely power full if it had a gun like the planes no one could come and git it. It would just march in on the base and destroy it. Also it should not be able to fire straight above the tank so aircraft can dive on it. Now to back up the tanks current weapon it is effective against planes a skilld tank driver can evade a incoming planes shots and when the plane is close enuth boom the tank can hit the plane I have done it several Tim's the enemy plane was flying to low to close and I fired on him it looked like I missed but when that shell gits close enuth to a plane it acts like flack and explodes it actually would be cooler to add a aa gun to the tank than machen guns because you could two guys at your base in tanks just firing flack at enemy aircraft making bombing the base difficult.

I agree that tanks should have a machine gun. It should be coaxial (i.e. it fires in line with the main gun), it should have the same range as the guns on the fighters, and there should be a limited amount of ammo (also for the main gun). The advantage is still with the fighters because of their greater maneuverability and ease of aiming (the fighter aims by pointing the nose of the plane while the tank gunner has to traverse the turret). Also, the machine gun can only elevate the same as the main gun. This would give the tanks some self defense capability on the move without giving them too much advantage relative to the fighters. In reality of course the fighters would never be able to defeat the tank with the .30 caliber machine guns typical of that era, but it does add excitement to the game.
