I never seem to be placed on the American side anymore, and my best plane is American. I fully upgraded it and everything!! I miss it. Please fix this.

It's just luck of the draw Yonder.. I once played as allied for nearly 2 full days when at the time my best plane was German lol! Btw, the tripehound is a good plane but just be aware that it is also the e easiest plane in the game to hit because of its size.
