i have seen some comments mostly on a clan thread, but I think this is one worth discussing. Fuel is a major consideration in aviation, it always has been and always will be. Fuel management is one of the first lessons learned in aviation. Fuel states drive decision making on when to commit to a fight and when to bug.
This can be a dimension of specific aircraft performance that helps certain aircraft appeal to certain users. Large fuel loads are performance degraders, but obviously give advantages in route selection and deep strike. Large fuel loads also make aircraft more vulnerable.
This game offers very realistic play, ignoring fuel considerations is unfortunate. Yes, it would take away some fun. But in time it would add to the effect that this game has done so well to create.
