Ok guys and girls I've noticed with ever growing regulatory that the new pilots that come to our severs are having a hard time adjusting to our ways they have no one to guide them no one to watch no one to learn from I started with open servers as did many of my fellow pilots I watched and learned what to do what not to do I had to fight for my life and when I could fight back I had to right even harder to be noticed thank God for some of the older pilots that when asked a question they answered me I've run into pilots that don't know how to fire from a chute land on ships or even how to play the game their in I've been in that sever its nothing less than a free for all now I ask the older pilots how would you react coming into this sever where pretty much everyone is a top gun wing commanders have almost no chance so I can't get mad when they drop their bombs just to stay alive but they carry the bad habbits from the lower server to ours thinking this is how you play I also can't get mad at the older pilots for getting so damn mad at the younger pilots for doing things that they don't know shouldn't be done inthe lower sever its ok to Wm. Or team kill its how they rank up so I ask you zup to please open the severs again this is helping no one and to my friends my beloved family of dog fight please let cooler heads prevail try to teach the ones we can forgive mistakes made by some that don't know. You are absolutely right Wabbit. They need to be open, that way they can learn the same way we did. The noobs are not learning the right habits on how to play the game. There doing what they think is right. We have tried coaching thing. That didnt work, so i agree Wabbit, Zup should open them back up.

yeah, that's one point of view, but here is another:
before the server split, i've got tons, and i mean TONS of complains that the game was impossible to play because there is someone with rank 20+ that wipes out all the newbies.

So while I see your point, the problem is that you just need one person that already knows how to play to destroy the game for everyone new.

In short, i won't rejoin the levels. There is no perfect solution for this but I think this is the best solution. I may add the training option later, but that requires lot of thinking and programming.

Since u cant reopen the servers cant we send some decent pilots down to the lower ranks and lock that account so it cant lvl up and that way we can teach the new guys how to play so they r not absolutely dumbfounded when they reach our servers. There has to be an easy way to train the new guys like i was trained by MadtotheBone,Wig,swopcamel,Kptn Singh, and so many more high ranks that gave me tips on how to play.

Well, I play a ton and I havent hardly seen any teamkilling except for accidents....I have found everytime that kind advice in in game chat to help the noobs works....what I have found that never works for me is if one is vindictive with the noobs.....all it does is infuriate them and they act and play worse......I suggest start with advice and work harder as you go...

I have found the language from the noobs to have been getting worse....but more in the world chat....

Maybe things are worse for the noobs is because some of us high ranks are not showing kindly how to play and are being hostile with them with a "I'll show them how to play" attitude...

I have no idea what it takes to implement, but could there be a way to allow higher ranks into the lower server with "blanks"?

If noobs had immunity from higher ranks (in the lower server only) the shots would still register as hits but there would be no kills. Actually, a training room where everyone has immunity could be nice, as long as you could get into the chute or tank.

I think the noob servers are a good thing. I tried to get my kids into dog fight before the servers were split but they got discouraged before level. 5. A few months later, when the noob servers opened I got them to try again and they were hooked. The "shock" of the upper server was much easier to handle once they were familiar with flying.

Let the new players play with new players. Let them discover the game the way we did. Giving a crash course to a new player just makes the journey shorter for them. They fly straight because they are exploring. Soon enough they will get it. They are learning by experience. Let them make their mistakes on the lower servers.

Hey folks I'm not saying we should hunt noobs! I try and give advice whenever I can ok we can't open the server that's ok I like the idea that we can go to server keep our rank and train the younger pilots if zup could make a training zone where we can go when we want only to train hitting with no kills even Sounds good this is a grt idea

well all I'm saying is...that I play a ton and play at various times too...and I dont see noobs tank spawnkilling....or teamkilling or whatever....I see some foul language typically on world chat....

if there isnt much teamkilling or tank spawnkilling....then maybe the younger pilots are doing okay?....I actually see many low rank pilots playing very well...

I've been on the other side of this argument, but I agree with Zup now. All it takes is one highly skilled pilot who chooses to wipe the landscape with noob flesh, and you've suddenly got a lot of extremely tainted noobs. Some would move forward like we did, but a lot would quit, and many would continue forward with extreme paranoia. And all would write emails to Zup.

Remember that while many of us sprouted our wings learning from the early mbizzi's, strachan's, and calvin's, the top-end skills are now even better. Those experts got better, and the next in line got extremely good. As tough as it was to be a noob flying with Nov 2012 experts, it's a whole different thing to be a noob flying among Nov 2013 experts. Plus, the number of players is so much greater, and peer pressure to play nice doesn't affect everyone... leading to a few experts out there who aren't so nice. Each of you can probably come up with a name or three straight off. I think unleashing them on Level 3's would be a net detriment to the game.

I play on the noob server about 3 times a week. I only shoot fools or those how have enough skill to defend themselves. Usually I just offer advice, ask them to visit the forum etc. Most of the players aren't bad, I'm not seeing as much team killing as I did a few months back (I see more on the high rank servers), and most respond to feedback.

I see a steady flow of new wing commanders coming through (could always be more), For those that don't want a second account, there's your chance to coach right there.

Maybe zup could set up an intermediate sever this might be an answer but upper ranks cannot get credit for kills this would prevent pilots that just want easy points to rank up.from playing and the noobs can choose if they want to fly there kinda like the practice zone this way we don't have to change accounts back and forth all.I would.like to do is prepare the younger guys and girls for our sever the crash course doesn't work that grt some pilots get angry being shot down time after tiime give them some practice in defending them.selves

Yes! Absolutely! The aspirants not being allowed to fly with the aces isn't helping anyone. Image playing Pop Warner football, then being thrown up against the Packers!

then at that point you do exactly what everyone is asking...you take them under your wing and help them out. they will have more game play and will learn faster. any way you look at it there is a likelihood for misuse. if you lump them all together then there is a better chance they wont have a bad experience and walk away from the game. you get into a few games as a noob where you are flamed over and over again as fodder you get disgusted and leave. if you really want to help them there are ways...
