I thought the Windows 8 platform would get a forced update when the apple update was released. We are still playing with phantoms.

The underground tanks are a super big problem now.

I think I'd rather have phantom deaths before unstoppable tanks. At least you have a fighting chance with the planes.

I'm all updated with the last DF release and IOS 7 on apple iPad.

Just played with Enoxx. He is still a phantom and has been since he started. Search his name if you want. He was reported a loooooooong time ago as a phantom.

Force the update pretty please.

I think we're waiting on the W8 version of the App Store, whatever it's called, to publish the update. I don't think it's relate to Apple's update.

I updated and deleted and reinstalled. Althought I show having .37, everything looks like the previous version since I reinstalled. I haven't had a chance to check to see if the new town and such are there or not. I'm updated, but not?

Ah, your right. The windows store must not have it released yet. I didn't think any one could suck at releasing updates worse than apple.

On the up side I'm going to get a windows tablet soon. I run a lot of Microsoft excel programs for work. Apple doesn't have an app that runs excel well. I'm tired of dragging my lap top around. I''m going to be the baddest phantom in the land. Duck and cover boys and girls. Some one better email zuperman and get that update pushed through. Mawhahahaha

I've asked a number of windows players in-game, and some of them said that they do have the latest. Some of them even volunteered that they are running "4.4.37." I made some notes along the way:

I know for certain that aratata still ghosts but says he has 4.4.37.

jipsie danger says he has the latest as of a couple days ago, and he ghosts.

enoxx doesn't say much, said he downloaded the latest (this was mid-week this week, so windows had it), and he DEFINITELY ghosts bigtime.

herly rios wants to ghost, says he didn't upgrade, and loves killing people who can't see him. He also likes to bomb friendly hangars. But he's a "special" case.

I'm on 4.4.33 and as far as I know that's the latest version available, for full fat Windows 8.

maybe this is why the update hasn't gone live on Win8. I've just had another go on a Windows phone (Dogfight v.4.3.37 lite) and it's buggy. It stutters the whole time when flying and the programme crashes too. On the plus side, I ask it my team could see me an one guy responded that he could. Not definitive proof that the phantom issue is sorted, but a positive sign...

Sorry Athar(Science Guy) if I handled you rough in that game. Normally I reserve that for TKers or spawnkilling bomb droppers.

I'm just totally burnt out on being phantom killed. I don't mind getting killed when its legit. I get really aggravated when its by some one I can't see. I'm sure I've been phantom killed over 200 times. There seems to be no fix. The last probably 4 or more updates are terrible and the windows 8 thing has always been bad. So my best defense is a good offense. It wasn't personal.

Would you care to put your feelings and experiences with windows and its updates on the Android beta testing thread? I think Zuperman is keeping tabs in that topic. He needs to know what the problems with windows are from a guy that is playing on windows.

So last night I'm just chilling out, minding my own business and BAM! My phone beeps - there's an update for an app on Windows store for my phone. OMG.....it could be for Dogfight......and it was! I installed 4.4.39 right away and started the game up, excited to be able to use my phone again. I went full throttle and started hauling up off the ground as my excitement started to build and....CRASHED INTO THIN AIR AGAIN! AHHHHHHH! Restarted phone and tried again, got in the air this time and chatted to others to let me know if I phantom anyone, made one kill, and was told it was a phantom kill. Then I tried to reply sorry and leave the game and crashed into more thin air. Then again, and again.

I'm giving up on Windows Phone 8. I don't know if it's just the phone I'm using or what, but it's just not going to happen

last night i too updated to 4.4.39 directly from 4.4.37 !!

4.4.38 was never released in windows store !

Gotta say there are some bugs.
Like when we jump out of the plans, the soilder doesnt move . So we cant shoot using a soilder in a parachute.

So i couldnt even move with a soilder. He doesnt even look up or down or sideways !!

The phantom problem has gone for 4.4.39 users (probably)
people who use previous versions. Still get phantom problems.
So everyone including w8 and also excluding w8 has to update to kick that problems ass.

The trees are soild . The new water looks cool !
I ve got to say, galaxy s4 sucks my friend finds it difficult to play on it as it lags a lot even in practice missions. He too has updated to 4.4.39. I have a lumia 820 and im playing on full settings and zero lag !!

@blue max if u r seriously thinking about buying a windows tab then wait till lumia 2520 releases.
It has all the things u want. A solid battery life and specs that can kill ipad !!
Nokia also provides a flexible keyboard to type. To top it offf , the keyboard just wraps around ur tab like a cover !! The keyboard also has 2 usb slots and connecting the keyboard guves u 5 hrs of extra battery life over the already 12hrs of talktime !

I thought that the windows update would be forced and yet there are still numerous ghosts out there. I encountered one today named proentransa or something like that. Never left his base, never showed up on radar, just bam you are dead. He was proud of himself and talking about killing at enemy from his base.
