I was banned as of yesterday yet I am not advised of why and any next steps...... I think it was for spawning killing. When I was playing yesterday I was in a tank and heading to an airport to return as a plane. As I hit the airstrip I hit the fire button in eror instead of the brake and my gun went off as a new airplane appear which hit it and I think I was banned as spawn killing. How does this get reveresed?
The only message I receive when logging on is " Banned and reported. Five minutes".. ok, now what?

Just curious, why drive to the base to turn into an airplane, why not just hit auto destroy.

I have never got myself in that place, but of what I read on the blacklist it's a two days penalty.

You will keep getting that 5 minutes text until you are unbanned. If you have any complaints about your bann or want to apologize, Blacklist is the thread to do it in.

Boy lots of questions. ....... I was shot down and landed about 10 feet from the airstrip so I drove in a tank instead of auto destroy. The only other time I spawn killed was when I first played the game about two years ago. Didnt know that you could not do that then and I did not know what the term spawn killing was then. When looking it is hard to find the actual rules spelled out. As with being banned I would have no idda of next steps and needing to go to "blacklist". I guess I try find blacklist for next steps. Complete rules and expalnations should be more visible.

That was a TEAM KILL, not SPAWN KILL.
you hit one of your own team, and you don't get banned for killing a team member just once--you would have to have done it three timrs in that mission.

There is no "brake button" in a tank.

I think auto destroy counts as a death.... whereas... if you shoot too close to yourself and die it doesn't count as a death. Just a thought...

Yes--but being that close to own airfield.....
He could have just walked back.

Is there some function that happens if you walk or tank back to your airport that turns you back into a plane? Autodestroy is the only way I know of getting back into a plane.

That's what I said, it's a weird story. I understand more than most about accidents and they sure happen but why not hit the auto destroy AND HOW DO YOU MAGICALLY TURN INTO A PLANE FROM A TANK.

Or selected airplane upon hitting the ground from parachute...

And yes if you "stop" in tank on your own airfield I.e. the blue one on map you respawn as a plane. Kinda like parachuting on to a carrier. As for walking I think the ledge of the landing strip prevents the footsoldier from getting on.... haven't tried in awhile though....

When I see a blue tanking at our base IMO means one thing....resulting in me droping my bomb on them

I had NO idea. Gee that would save me some self destructs when I go into a tank to kill someone close to our airport.

If you tank or soldier onto a friendly airstrip you automatically respawn. I remember this from my early days. I'm embarrassed to say, but I often lost my tank and would wander aimlessly around. I didn't know how to autodestroy and it was the only way I figured out to get re-planed.

I reserve judgment on the ban. I know and respect HHM, but the full story isn't here.

If you drive your tank onto your airstrip and stop you will return to a plane automatically. ...... a notification also pops up advising to do this. ....... Again since I was about ten feet from my own airstrip why would I auto destroy myself?

...... then what is the full story? I explained the situation on what happened yesterday and that was it. If during the coarse of play over the last few years where I hit a fellow team mate while in error in aerial combat at various times and the admin counts those up to arrive at a total then that is not really fair. I had mentioned before sometimes stray shots hit your own planes. If I do this I always appoligize right away. It sometimes happenst to me I know it is an accident and have no issue with it. It is just a game. I would never intentionally fly up behind a team mate a blast them out of the sky. I have see it happen before and seen people be band so why would I do this knowing I would be banned myself. I need the admin get in contact with me which they have not done yet.

I think your best bet is to monitor the Blacklist thread. That's got the highest chance of a moderator seeing your message. Kevy responded, but he didn't mention having banned you. You might look for a post from General Jack and hit the PM button - he was the one you tank-spawnkilled back in July.

I'm not trying to push this "banned" wagon along. I only meant I wasn't there and don't know what happened. You're no noob. You've been here longer than me. Regardless of any previous reports about you on the "blacklist", I've always seen you play by the rules.

The whole story is known to you and those in that specific game. Nobody else.

Let me clarify a few things and explain how these "reports" wok on the forum.

First, there are some automatic controls in the game to discourage teamkilling. If you kill 3 or more teammates, hangars or have 3 hits on the Zep when you're protecting, in a single game you will automatically be banned for 5 minutes. Additionally, anytime you hit a friendly target points are deducted from your total score.

If you received the message that you did, it's because you somehow had 3 or more friendly kills. I suspect since you were at your own airstrip you probably hit a combination of teammates and friendly hangars, giving you the auto-ban. In the past, this 5 minute ban has "glitched" and stuck for days or even weeks.

You are asking for an Admin's help. Here in DF, they're called Moderaters or Mods for short. Given the ruckus on this thread and the BL thread, I'm sure one will look into it for you. I suggest Kevy or General Jackson are 2 you could contact. Search the forum for them and send a PM.

About the Blacklist Thread... It's an unofficial thread to document reports of wrong doings such as tank spawnkilling, teamkilling, team hangar bombing, foul language, etc. The mods monitor the thread and sometimes, based on the credibility of the the report and evidence (screenshots, witnesses) provided, they ban/mute players. The maximum ban that can be applied is 2 days or approximately 40 hours. After the time expires the ban is lifted. The mod would have to re-ban the player for more time to be applied.

Now about all the comments and opinions offered... Some of us take the game very serious. We endure a lot of dirtbags that only seem to be here to ruin the game for others. That IS NOT YOU. I've played many games with you and have never seen bad behavior. However, these dirtbags sometimes come on the forum and offer every excuse under the sun for why they're innocent and their bans or mutes are unwarranted. This makes many of us suspicious about claims of innocence. Sometimes we jump to conclusions that anyone denying wrong doing is just another dirtbag. I suggest to EVERYONE that unless you are directly involved in the incident, you should use some restraint in offering your opinion to the situation. Doing otherwise is essentially "trolling", another bannable offense.

Your original post came across as an indignant accusation of false moderation and set off some of our fellow players. We should all take this as a lesson.

Now, with all this said. Can we all just let one of the mods sort this out and stopping flaming this dude?

Davy, for the record, many pilots will tank near their own base to defend against an incoming tank. Fair-play.

If you stop your tank on friendly runway, u turn into a tank.

I was out of country for a few months in the summer. I did not take my samsung tablet with me. That is the device I play dogfight on. Found out my son was using my tablet and playing dogfight under HHM while I was gone. Found out he did a spawn killing and other stuff not allowed which he said he was not aware of. I guess that explains the other issues I was not aware of. Those things added up would be the result of the ban I received which I take full responsibilty for. I will monitor HHM more closly and play but the rules.

Tonight while in a game I was being taunted by a creep you all know as EE ORANGE. HELLS HAND MAIDEN took it upon herself to lend a hand, help keep reds away and assisted me. I had some reds including one MOM who did not know what a pass was.
