Since the Mods were stripped of their ability to punish blacklisted players, awful Dogfight criminals are able to get away with whatever they want.

Banned players are "back on the streets" in no time.

This is upsetting. I used to be a big fan of the blacklist. Now it's practically useless. Knowing I could seek justice on the BL thread is what kept me from being a vigilante. Now I have no choice but vigilantism.

Zup I know you were concerned ban numbers were too high.

But I'd like to request that mods get their abilities back. They have done an excellent and fair job in my year here.

Thanks for reading.

I agree, totally!

It has become very frustrating to see repeat offenders (i.e. EE Orange, Blue Beagle and many others) return to the game to start their antics all over. I believe the longest ban the mods are giving out are 2 days. These guys are not vested players like some of us. They get a 2 day ban and it's not a big deal. They pick it up next weekend and start all over.

Before, when players were banned until they posted on the forum, there were real results, reformation, rehabilitation. Remember Tinger, anyone?

Now, I join a game and the first thing I do is hit the brakes and check the list to see if a known TKer is in the game. More often than not, I aggressively attack them when I see them. This is probably wrong, but I do that before they ruin another game for me. Several of them now leave when I show up. That's fine for me, but I know they're just going to move on to another game and cause trouble there.

I work in a client based job. Keeping the customer happy is priority one. I understand the difficulty of taking negative actions against your "paying" and more importantly feedback-leaving customers. There's a duty to your loyal customers too.

Please consider WTG's request. A full week's ban should allow the mods to get the point across to the most heinous offenders.

I do not know how difficult it is to modify the message that informs the banned individuals of their ban, but maybe you could direct them to forum or a mod email box for details on their ban. Maybe we could turn some of these guys around if they knew there consequences .
Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.

Heres an Example:

JIHAD FISIBILLAH

Banned after my blacklist for tank spawnkilling two days ago. Was back yesterday under that name.

Now he has changed his name to a different variant of JIHAD 4 SYAHID to reduce the heat on him.

Makes me mad.

Actually it's a second account or another guy:
#876 JIHAD FISABILLAH Brigadier-General I (18) 491 110 2259 1097 499
#1015 JIHAD 4 SYAHID Brigadier-General III (16) 356 65 1438 936 488

Rather similar ratios, so I'd guess it's the same guy.

Zupes--please remove the kryptonite and give the mods their power back!!!
It's bad enough to see the repeat offenders back--but their offenses have spread like cancer to the new players just leaving the kiddie table.
This is the worst it's been yet.
Please restore their ability to rain fire down on them.

Roger that, pic below from tonight of fisabillah. So photos of each today. Perhaps he did take a two day ban. On his slightly more played account. Apprx .2 kill ratio for each account. Good info Manfred.

I can assure you guys that some bans are permanent and I had alot of attempts of avoiding mine to no luck and then I was suddenly allowed back which I thought was intentional.

I know I caused trouble but I don't see JacobR as bluebeagle of DOGGIEMAN but I can assure you mod bans work quite well....

Mmmm, i see it as the opposite. Your IP address was perm banned by Zup himself. Yet here you are! Another example of a ban that didnt stick.

Not saying its right or wrong but thats what it is.

Ban numbers, who cares. They deserved to be banned.
Wen i started this game like 7 months ago rarily were there skers, potty mouths, or teamkillers. They got banned. And more than two days! When people come and join this game i don't think they are turned on by the language and bad stuff they see on world chat and the noob servers.

Getting really tired of seeing the same repeat offenders coming back for more.

Whatever the idea was stripping moderators' perm-ban power, it is not an improvement.

The blacklist thread is practically useless. It used to be very effective.

WTG is getting very grumpy about it!!

The good ol days, act like a turd, get blacklisted, get banned, come hear and apologize, beg for mercy, unban, act right, have fun, play the game, never do it again.

Now a days, act like a turd, get blacklisted, get banned, return a few seconds later, act like a turd again, ruin games.

The new system is much better. Doh! Who is smoking crack?

There are good guys and bad guys EVERYWHERE.

And it was proven that banishment doesnt work. At least not without a specific, specialized and full time dedicated software engineering - and we cant expect nor request this extra from Echoboom - at least not right now.

So, there is only one thing to do: IGNORE THESE BASTARDS.

See one ingame? Leave the game. Feel free to spank them a little before leaving, of course. But I gave up reporting dirty-mouths, spawn-killers, team-killers, and alike. I dont bother anymore.

After all, dogfight has a HUGE number of players nowadays, and we cant expect playing only with/against our forum friends like it used to be years/months ago. Unless zup implements more server-policies to make, say, separated sessions for each ranking range (say, dedicated servers for players in lvl 20-23, other servers for lvl 24-27, etc), we need to get used to these freaks.

I took the RED PILL!

Where is it proven that banishment doesnt work?

Example: joe jerk gets perma banned for multiple blacklistings. Joe realizes he can just buy a new account. Joe then quits being a jerk unless he wants to buy DF every week.

Works for me. Double income for Zup. Who loses ? Nobody!
