I play on a ipad and am always amazed when someone tells me they're playing on a 4" phone. I tried this, and can't imagine how it's possible to shoot anything besides a tree. On the other hand, I've heard of others connecting their device to a large screen TV. I'm curious to see how this works out for them as I would imagine the pixel density is diminished considerably. Besides, I'd think there would be some additional lag due to the cable connection?

Some say it's easier on large screens, some on small. I like large ones better, but I'm used to them. I can play decently on a 4" screen, tho.

As for the HDMI TV hookup, it's laggy and pixilated. Try it once, maybe, but just to see what it's like. I've heard it's really hard.

Its not the size of the boat, its the ~motion~ in the ocean.

And by that I mean, having played my usual iphone 4s and also an ipad, i find that there is a slight edge in long distance shooting with the ipad.

But I feel faster at switching flight control inputs with my smaller iphone. And this is critical in the medium to short range game.

I play with sensitivity maxed out, which is partly why I love my bomb in a long range head to head engagement. Thanks to realism in the game, the stick inputs are much more responsive when the aircraft is light. With my bomb on, I can make the minute adjustments needed for a long shot.

Also: I believe my ihpone 4s has more pixels than my old 32" flatscreen. More than enough, though I find myself too close to my phone. It makes my eyes hurt after playing a long sesh.

Good topic!!

Thanks for that info you two. I figured pixelation would be an issue. As for sensitivity control being maxed out, you know, you hear this from everyone and I've always played this way...until yesterday, I lowered it just slightly and it really helps stabilize the long shots. Zero help in chase though, its a catch 22 for sure

I've played on my IPhone 4S, ipad 4("the new ipad") and on a kindle fire (non-hd). I definitely prefer the ipad. Old eyes and superior resolution are a great match. The kindle has comparable resolution, but the control of the plane is different and I just can't fly as well. If I had to choose between Kindle and iPhone, in would probably go for the phone, just because the controls are close to the ipad(but still different). iPhone seems more sensitive, which inguess could be better if I acclimated to it. Larger ipad is also a little more tiring on the arms. You might have to actual see me play in person to understand, but I'm sure it looks like a mix between aerobics and a seizure.
Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.
