I, we need to be red, and shoot at blue. Unless you are one of the 5 to 8 % of red green color blind, you have no ideal how frustrating this is. 28 years ago I applied to be a Highway Patrolman. I failed the color police, went to work for a close by city, and now am Chief Of Police. We Are HandiCapable!

I'm red/green (and blue/purple) (and orange/red) color blind. But I can see the difference between Dogfight red and blue pretty well. Just can't see red against the landscape!

I too and red/green challenged. I dont have issues distinguishing the difference between teams, but I don't believe that's the issue presented here. Like Manfred said, I have a difficult time seeing the enemy against terrain(except snow). If it was not for the yellow rank insignia, I wouldn't be able to see half the targets. I was very frustrated by this as well when I first started playing and if you search the for for color blind, you'll find a post I did a couple months back.

I don't know how difficult it would be to make a change or even a setting to change enemy colors.

I have gotten used to it and found ways to compensate. Handicapable as you say. In a post on the MOM thread someone noted that I flow low and swerve side to side. This isn't just an evasive maneuver. If I fly low I can put my enemy targets in front of a blue sky or clouds and can see the contrast. When enemies are in front of a mountain or grey sky or even th green grass, I can swerve left and rigt/up and down or combinations of those and the differ angles of view let me locate the target a little easier. I think the other CB pilots here will understand what I mean. For full color sighted, think of it like the alien in predator. When he's cloaked and standing still, he's transparent and nearly invisible. When he moves the background changes with him and he's "more" visible. Adapting this way has made me a better shot and as an added benefit, a more elusive target.

I also have issue with the red or orange or whatever colored dots there are on the map. Again as they move, I can see them better. Enemy tanks on the grass or shores or water? Forget it. If y'all would sit still in your tank, I'd fly right by. Move it and I'm like a T Rex in a lost world jeep!

All of this was long explanation that I thought I might leave here for future CB pilots. I hope it helps.

Thanks for the tips, I have found low flying helps, I tend to crash more when a fight breaks out. I saw a older post saying one of the teams were always red, firing at blue. I couldn't find the one mentioned. Do you know of any? For the most part my color blindness is not a problem. Except single, flashing, red or yellow traffic lights. If I am driving alone, I treat them as red, If someone is with me, I ask them. My five year old granddaughter once said, "Poppa, did you not learn colors I school? I can teach you" that kinda makes it all OK.

There's weeks to be confusion regarding red and blue teams. No matter what team you are on, you and all teammates are blue and all enemies are red.

If you were on the other team, you would still be blue and your previous team would appear red.

Enemies are always red. And you will never see yourself as red nylu will always be be blue.

I have the same problem and so the same thing you mentioned with traffic lights.

I love that little story about your granddaughter, kinda makes me wish I had grand kids, hell kinda makes me wish I had kids!

Of course, the main subject can be turned on a request for developers to allow the player to choose colors of teammates and enemies. I believe that this feature is way simpler to implement than other ones that people uses to ask for (like that one in my avatar), and maybe you people with good "morale" with Z can convince him to put this feature on next version...

I now understand, someone had said a certain team was a diffrent color. Let's get the ADA folks to play, they cost me enough when I remodeled my Police Sation.

Wow i never even figured someone being color blind in the game. As ph said about the low thing i will avoid flying low now. I would have never guessed that ph was color blind the way he makes quick work of my plane the way he does. Its incredible. Karma for the both of u.
