I've noticed that its a bit quicker, but not to the extreme that you describe. My first game after the apple update was a kill the Zep game. I was shot down next to the Zep, after it leveled off. When I chuted, I got about 20ish rounds off before grounding. I used to empty the clip (42 rounds) before I hit the ground.

But will offer this advice regarding chuting or not....

Ok... Should you chute? If you do chute, you should shoot the one that made you chute and if you shoot someone and they chute, you should shoot them in their chute and should they shoot you from their chute, you should chute and shoot them in their chute from your chute. Shoot! Am I getting this right?
