Been playing for few days. Have $15k banked and wondering which plane to buy 1st.
Nieport XI or Fokker E.IIII

Or wait for $25k planes? Then what, Albatross or Nieport.

Indecision may or may not be my problem. Thx PH

Fokker. The nuiport is worse than the Spad, which only costs 3500. I only use it as a joke.

The fokker is painfully slow, and not very maneuverable, but no worse than the nuiport. It is, however, very thin, and hard to hit. Great noob choice.

Welcome to the game!
See you in the skies!

The Great Calvin has been flying a lot longr than I have, but to be honest, I never noticed a difference in the flight modeling in planes of the same tier (Camel and Dr1, Neuiport and Eindekker, etc.). I found the upgrades to speed and ammo supply to be a better investment.

An interesting topic:

I noticed it was rather challenging to shoot down pilots who were using the initial beginner planes (these pilots had more experience than the usual Aspirant). This was mostly due to the fact that their plane speeds were so slow compared to mine, that I'd overtake them before I get a chance to shoot them in a dogfight.

So, after some curiosity, I started to fly the "noob planes" again. To my surprise, my K/D ratio did not go down -- in fact, it went up! My first game was 18/2; and I'd found it easy to get planes in my sights during a Dogfight, for some reason.

I'm sure I'm not the first to try it, but if you're a seasoned player, you should. It certainly makes things interesting.

As for which plane to buy first -- I honestly don't know. I really bought each plane randomly as I got the credits. I don't even own all of them, in fact.

I say buy the highest you can. Two wings. One and three are too slow. Highest has highest speed(which between highest two planes the axis has it), and something else but its my(and now my squad's) secret. Whatever your choice you'll eventually have all the planes. And most of all, have fun going through them, and the forum! :)

If thats the way to exterminate, it'll take too freaken looonng

The niuport XI and fokker eIII are VERY goodfor shooting Head on.for dogfighting I would recommend the niuport because even though bad at turning its slow speed is great when going against a albatross.X.
Who ever dislikes you gets payback by something else.

Why is the Spad priced less than the Neuport? I don't understand this. I bought the Neuport, but right afterwards I realized the mistake and wished I had bought the Fokker eiii.

The Spad isn't a bad plane at all. I've done very well in it, even matched up against you guys in much "better" planes- though I've a ways to go before I'm at Luna's level :)
