Anyone else think the game needs some defense for the air fields? I think it would be really cool of the airports had flak guns and that you could man a gun whenever you wanted by landing and hitting an options panel or something like that.

Agreed, you could have a little camp made of sandbags behind and to the left and right of the airfield with 10 to each fort. They would definitely be useful if Joaquin comes out with multiple person bombers, like the Rockwell design you were talking about.

I like the idea. They used to call it "Archie". If the debris frim the ezplosion hung in the air for a few seconds we would have to fly round it.

I'm a bit worried it would slow my phone up, 'cos it struggles to render the tank explosions

I'm reading every post, don't worry.

I'm actually thinking how to implement this since there are contradictory requests: some wants buildings, some wants flat areas, some wants no airport defense, some do...

I think I'll do the sandbags and a machine gun on each side. But not automatic, you actually have to go and use it yourself.
But there is a problem... airplanes are easy targets for this kind of guns. Once you are in position, no airplane would be able to pass. I'm trying to come up with a solution.

Probably put 2 or 3 guns, but each with limited angle of fire (30 degrees or so), so the airplane can come from behind.

This whole thing would also require that I have a soldier that is able to walk from gun to gun (not easy to animate). Then I have to think how the personal gun should work, how many ammo and power (could they bring down an airplane or tank?) and whether they should be able to reload and get ammo somewhere else.

In short, a request may not be as simple as it looks :)

Maybe AA guns for when you parachute and land where it shows plane,tank,and maybe add AA guns!!!!
