I think, that minimal altitude for using parachutes should be radically increased. I also think, that after jumping out, it should take some time, before parachute open. Now, almost everybody is waiting and jumping out closely to the ground.
Parachutes should be easier to shot down. Now it is necessary to hit the pilot directly. I think, that parachute itself should be the hit zone also.
In my opinion, the distance around enemy airport, where it is not possible to get the tank after parachuting should be significantly enlarged.
Now, if you shot down two or three enemies near your airport, the time to destroy tanks before they reach the airport, is very short.

If I can ad one more thing when your outside your person as he's falling you should be able to get a little forward motion like you are gliding on the parachute but just slightly
if you follow the croud the croud will never follow you-(some smart guy)

the parachute actually moves already. Just the path is not straight since it's a WWI parachute which is circular, but if you pay attention you'll notice it's not a straight fall and that you also rotate a bit with the wind.

yep, on parachute... not on planes. There used to be wind on planes but people found it extremelly hard to fly so I removed it.
