no. no planes that would be unbeatable. guided missles would enable effortless sniping from across the map. plenty of aces can already snipe from across the map, but it takes a few seconds, where lesser players can get in range to shoot back. anything with impossibly awesome capabilities would ruin the game.

i also disagree on legendary planes..even with the recent planes, if you have a better one, than the enemy has no chance in a turn fight (talking about the equivalent skilled fighters), so if you put high capable planes, the ones who cant own them, will be in a big trouble.

I know, i'm just kidding, plus this was obviously after WWI, but, you got to admit, out does look like the plane tank boat it was meant to be

here is an awesome idea the plane could be like an ai object like the zeppelin, except it's lower to the ground and it could be german, or it could be part of an anti-spawn killing/ anti-camping thing. Even better, JUGGERNAUT mode where everyone is against a random person chosen to be the juggernaut, and whoever kills the juggernaut becomes the juggernaut. And it doesnt have to shoot homing missiles, it doesn't have to shoot missiles at all, the missile pods on top of the plane can be used as heavy cannons or something.

I just noticed if you take off the engines at the front it looks somewhat like a massive p51 d mustang from the top.

OK the idea is solid...but you have a fatal flaw in your "VE Plane" The "VE Plane" is not of that timeline/era. So...I say NO...be like using the Hornet or TomCat...like I saw ^ there somewhere....With the weapons you suggest....Game no longer remains DOGFIGHT and becomes a modern day air combat. Combat not Fight..So on thoses grounds I'd vote no...sorry

Rumor has it, that if YOU shoot down the "flaming" plane, YOU get as a reward, a very SPECIAL plane and an automatic promotion.

Good luck shooting that flaming plane. It's so rare. It sort of "warps" around the map too. I hate the bloody thing. I've only seen it twice. Once in a game with you FlyMagic when we saw it for the first time. Crazy.

I saw it (flaming plane). I kept watchin it as best I could , was Here and there like lag. I swear it shoots too. Was not a fresh kill. Can anyone Explain.....

GUYS! I FINALLY GOT ONE SHOT ON THE FLAMING PLANE!

I was making my way to bomb the enemy base at about 25K altitude when about 3 klicks to my north -- I spotted it. I could see a bright fiery trail behind it and heading right for me. Quickly I prepared for combat and went in for the "head-on". I managed to get a single hit on it, but when I did I got:

But the letters were really distorted. It looked a lot like:
