It would be nice for all of us to understand what the reasons are for the changes in ranking. Can anyone help?

We explained this a few times in the last weeks.

To simplify again: 3 new higher ranks were added. Nothing else changed in the system. The system works as it has always worked. The higher ranks are higher in the rankings and then if the ranks are the same, it is sorted by the points gained in that rank.
