Hi everyone! This is the first video contest on the history of Dogfight Elite!
I was planning to update the video that is on the main page, this one:
I usually just play a few games, capture them and edit it... but then I thought it would be more fun if we all participate.

First the prizes:
For individual:
Winner: 2000000 points.
Second place: 1000000 points.
Third place: 500000 points.

Prizes for squadron videos:
Winner: 200000 points to each squad member.
Second place: 100000 points to each squad member.
Third place: 50000 points to each squad member.

Rules:
- You can participate individually or with your squad. You can do both but not with the same video. You can participate with as many videos as you want.
- Capture the video at the highest possible quality. I suggest to do it on a desktop but you can also do it from your mobile.
- It is fine to edit the video by cutting/trimming/speeding up certain areas or whatever you want. They can be weird, fun, anything you like.
- Maximum allowed time for a video is 2:30 (2 minutes, 30 seconds).
- If you participate for the squad video and you are one of those squads that has 1,2,3 groups... you have to decide which one will get the points otherwise it's not fair to smaller squads. It's fine that each makes different videos and participate too.
- Upload your video to youtube, on the title put Dogfight Elite: followed by whatever you want. Add the hashtag #dogfightelite to it so we can search for them. If it's a squad, put the name of the squad on it (anywhere, title or description). It has to be a public video and uploaded with no copyright. So we can all search and watch it. Then come here and post the link to your video.
- If you participate on the contest, you are declining all your rights on the uploaded video. That means anyone, any company, any other player can use that video for whatever they want and edit/modify it as they please. This is just so that legally we don't get into any weird shit when we share or use these videos and also that in the future we can be free to poke around the videos and enjoy any modifications anyone wants to do with them.

Remember, when the video is uploaded come here and share that link. The deadline to upload a video is February 14, 2018 midnight. The winning videos will be decided by the number of "likes" on the youtube website for that video from today. The deadline to finish the "likes" votes will be February 18, 2018 midnight UTC. To clarify: you can upload videos and share them here up to feb 7. Then keep voting until sunday feb 18 midnight.

not finding suitable free software to record on windows PC. Do you have any software which can record well.

There are many, for windows and mac you can use: obsproject.com/
Also if you are on windows 10, using the windows store version I believe all windows 10 have 3 small icons on the top of the window and one of them is to share/live stream. Without any additional software.

On Android and iOS, just hit the menu icon inside the game and press "share video". You can upload to youtube the last 10 minutes of game play, then download it from youtube and edit it at will to finish it up and reupload.

You should have your game bar as well. Part of your xbox app attached to windows. Hit windows key plus G will open the game bar in window. you can take screen shot or Video. Easy peazy

I'll try to come up with something, even though my flying leaves a lot to be desired these days. Lol

I tried OBS-Studio as well as XSplit Broadcaster but recording is laggy.

Ctrl +G gives message, "sorry, this PC doesn't meet the hardware requirement for recording". May be my graphic card is too old to support even though its 2GB card.

now will try the software mentioned by Roy.

Thats a bummer Blue. Geez how old is your system? Thats odd your system doesnt support it. Might be worth checking Xbox support to see if there is hardware updates that will enable it

yes i know, i dont know why but Google disabled my YouTube account for posting that video, so now i have send a form for objection, so now i have to wait i guess, i hope i have it back b4 votes ends for this contest (all my vids are now temporary unavailable, i know i had already 5 likes for individual video en 2 for squadvideo on youtubepage)

yes i did the same with one of my vids it was auto muted by you tube before it was posted to you tube

I'm getting several requests to give an additional week for the video creation. What do you guys think? Should I add 7 more days to the original schedules?

I recorded this anyway so what the heck right? I know its 2:37 long, I didnt have time to edit it but I can trim that 7 seconds off very easily if needed.

Glad to see that people are recording videos... the more publicity for the game the better!
