Hello fellow pilots, recently I've been playing Battlefield 3. For those who don't know about it, it is a game for the console (ps3,Xbox,PC,etc..). This game has dogfighting with jets, at first I thought "I should have some experience from Dogfight but boy was I wrong. When I got on the air witht hat F-18 Hornet I was getting my butt kicked!! Kept crashing and it was just horrible. the maneuvers are hard for a beginner, missiles getting locked on you and jets going fast!! When I got locked on I tried to dodge the missile but I ended up crashing luckily I got ONE kill but then I kept crashing

Can anybody give me some info on Maneuvering jets?? Are there any BF3 players that could give me tips?? Thanks!!

There's heaps of declassified flight manuals online. Get them, read them, etc. They should help you extensively.

I myself have been through CQC and Standardized Combat Training courses a while back. Because of this, I tend to dominate all first-person shooter games I happen to pick up because I approach from a tactical standpoint. Instead of playing in the moment, I play 7 steps ahead of everyone else. Once you get into the mind of anyone -- you'll beat them.


BF3 is good -- but I find it can be a bit cheap at times if you know the right exploits. Look into getting a more realistic flight game with other players such as ARMA 2. ARMA will teach you or help you perfect all elements of tactical maneuvers both in air & ground.

I don't recommend the game if you're one of those consumers who NEEDS heaps of Michael Bay's explosions, lens glare and other nonsense splashing about the screen. You wont find it there. ALl you'll find is solid graphics, solid people and real mission scenarios. It's fantastic.

There's a great flight simulator out there for jets, its for iOS and android, its called f-18 carrier landing, it sounds wierd, but you should check it out, it's great. No fighting, just flying.

I have one tip. KAMIKAZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehehehe. I normally prefer a jeep with my friend in it. We put a ton of C4 on the front of it and he holds the detonator and we crash into tanks blowing them up.

Slender Man: Wow really?, I'm going to join ROTC, probably not as difficult, but I'm planning on starting my career from there and get scholarships so far I've dont great in school with straight A's. Thanks for the game I downloaded as soon as soon as I saw that you recomended it.

Allied: Lol that's genius once I parachuted from the jet and tried to put a C-4 explosive on the one that shot me down but it was a fail

If it doesnt matter what era, have u seen rise of flight for PC. It os a crazy good simulater with multiplayer. Its free with 2 planes but the rest u have to buy averaging $6-8. But iys still a good game. I dont have it because i dont have a personal PC and my mom wnt let me use her laptap for it.
