Just curious how many people play with clouds on. It seems like it would put you at a big disadvantage against players who play without clouds. I can't make long distance shots as well with clouds cause I can't see the enemy plane to judge how much to "lead" them with my shots.

Definitely off - since they are an "option" they are essentially useless. If they were a fixed graphic element, they would add an element of realism and strategy to the game. He might as well get rid of them entirely, as they serve no purpose at the moment, unless you want to play with a handicap.

Not true cloud. Clouds help u shoot a lot better head on, because of clouds planes are easier to see. And not all options are use less, such as detailed terrain, without it, i kept crashing into ground because it was much harder to see how far u are from the ground. Same with shadow.

But you can only hide behind/disappear into clouds if your opponents have them turned on too.

I take the clouds off...they cause too much glitching for me.....actually i dont play with sound effects, etc.....atleast till i upgrade my phone to somthing better.......when it comes to phone upgrades, i usually will upgrade to a new phone for business purposes. This upgrade im going to get a phone for dogfight purposes....thats how much i like the game.....

Yep, which is why there's no real point to it other than cosmetics.

What if I have clouds turned off and you have them on. If I'm behind a cloud, I can see you, but you can't see me. It does slow down the game and make shooting steadier. If it was a fixed feature then you could truly hide in clouds like they did in WW1. Of course the game keeps requiring more and more processing power so for many the game wouldn't run properly as in General's case.

Clouds and trees give a sense of realism to the game, like the sun, if it's right behind a plane you don't see it properly, I think they should be fixed, otherwise we might just as well play in big white box.

That's why I question their value. You think you're hiding in a cloud but everyone who has it turned off can see you lol.

If they cant see clouds then they cant hide in them. And it doesnt help with hiding just with head on, and its a diff story if it causes glitches. And its depends on how it suits u, thats why zup added the option

That's what I thought many moons ago. Here I am hidden up the clouds, but I'm getting blown to bits for some reason lol.

Bomer - you're right that since I can't see the clouds, I can't hide in them, so it's random, but for me I'd still rather not take the chance. I'll go for full visibility at all times given the choice.

I like the clouds and would welcome them being turned on for everyone if they didn't take up so much processing power. It would add a great element of strategy and realism to our game as I noted in my earlier post.

Ya i wish the clouds were turned on for every one. That way your not at a disadvantage for having them on. But if you can watch the enemies red tag well enuth and figure out what there doing your not at much a disadvantage with clouds on or off. If you can get your enemy at the edge of a cloud they are easy to see against the white fluff compared to the black ness of the Mt behind the german base. Some times i just cant hit targets because that Mt is so dang dark and the enemy can hide in its black mass as long as there not flying a to brightly colored plane. The clouds can be us full in the case were you a alie and you got a german guy with that Mt behind his back because the cloud will bring his black dot out. As of right now when I fly i don't use clouds unless i am out to take pretty pictures.

I keep them off; simply so I'm not at a disadvantage to those with it off as well.

However as someone said -- I agree it makes shooting down a enemy plane a bit easier when they're against a white backdrop.

Um I didn't know you could turn em off just went to settings and turned em off all those months of trying to be stealthy we're for nowt ! Feck what a failure heh heh .

Could we turn the lakes off as well, stop the carrier moving when you're trying to land on it or bomb it, that way it will be in the same place as you left it last time round!!!!

Also i dont go up high enough for clouds to interfear. And someone with no clouds go up high then it doesnt make a diff to me because i can still see ur name and thats good enough to shoot u down. And they come out of the clouds in like a sec, they arent very thick. So onlhy thing that matters is if they interfear with my head on down below.
