last nite I was driving home from work as I was passing by a bar, this guy talking on a cell phone stepped out in the middle of this busy road about 25-30 feet in front of me. I was going about 45 mph but luckily spotted him in time to be able to swerve to the next lane and save the idiot's life (and my paint job). Thankfully the months of dogfighting have decreased my reaction time. I'll admit, I rolled down my windows and typed out some choice asterisks for him.

Please be careful when talking on cell phone especially when you are near a road etc. KNOW WHERE YOU ARE STANDING.

about 45 mins after this, I headed out to a pool hall. I parked when my friend asked to see my phone cuz he wants to buy it off of me. he handed my phone back to me, I step out of the car and out of nowhere this cop appeared about a foot n half away from me waving his gun n screaming 'why r u gettin out why r u gettin out'. where id parked was pitch black so it took me about two seconds to figure out that its a cop. He looked scared as hell and a scared cop is the scariest thing in the world because he has the deadly weapon and all he needs is perception of danger to him to be able to use it.

I calmed him and told him im going back in the car. He told us he thought we were auto burglers or something and after checking our IDs told us to go ahead to the pool hall.

my problem is that he approached the vehicle without making any announcement of his presence. His lights were not on and he didnt do the usual 'this is the police stay in the vehicle warning' or anything to make his presence known. He just appeared out of nowhere soon as I got out of my car and proceeded to freak out as if I had threatened him. Simply the act of getting out of my car was turned into a potentially life threatening situation by this idiot.

Im gonna contact their hq to make sure this doesnt repeat. hopefully your local pd doesnt have this barney fife on payroll

he was definately a rookie so looked a bit nervous n scared

one of these nervous rookies killed a guy in a traffic stopover last year in my area. He said he thought the guy was reaching for something when it turns out he was unarmed

I talked to the sergeant n he said hes gonna have a talk with him when he comes back to work tomarrow

its wierd to here all this talk about guns and stuff over here in the UK
are police dont normally carry guns not the traffic cops or the normall ones.
