Who's up for a nice walk in the woods with our favorite mod, Slenderman?

So I was surfing the Interwebz when I came across a game based on the Slender Man. The object of the game is to find eight pages of notes in the woods at night, armed only with a flashlight. Throughout the game, you are constantly being stalked by the Slender Man, so watch your back... he certainly is.

Better yet, DON'T look back. His gaze will kill you.

So those of you who are manly enough to play this, you can download the game for free here .

It made me jump several times. For the best experience, use headphones, crank the volume up, and turn off the lights.

It's pretty cool but as I've said -- I've played MUCH worst. Ugh. Has anyone here ever even attempted playing Doom 3 at 3 AM? It's awful. Especially when the batteries on your flashlight die and you're left with nothing but the flashes from your assault rifle. But at the same time, you're trying to conserve ammo.

I have a serious problem with irrational fears, so I don't even play minecraft pe at night. Lol I get startled by the zombies and skeletons. I live in the woods and I don't go outside at night unless I have a gun and a good light, some may call it "borderline schizophrenia" but I think that I handle it OK. Lol

See I can play zombie games like COD zombies allnight long, but other than that, I'm pretty much a scaredy cat

Scariest movie (to me) that I ever saw: Stay Alive, the fear of dying in a game and dying the same way irl kept my hardcore gamer hands off the controller for a week, and even when I started playing again, I would freak out and run for cover, and still sometimes do, every time i'm about to die in a game.

YOU'VE SEEN MARBLE HORNETS?!

I'm actually good friends with the creator of Marble Hornets, Troy Wagner!

However, Troy doesn't call him "Slenderman" but instead calls him "The Operator". He wanted to make it his own creature instead of ripping off Something Awful forums (the original creators of Slenderman). MH started out as a film project that he started in film school in which he didn't intend it lasting as long as it has now.

My name came from the fact that many people actually call me "Slendy/Slenderman". Because I'm very tall, lean and I often wear suits/pea coats. People also say I'm a bit...how do I explain this. I'm always (accidentally) pulling the "Batman". Y'know, when you'll be talking to me and suddenly when you turn around -- I'm gone. I never intend on doing it, but people often say I "warp" or "vanish" around.

So yeah. It's an IRL nickname -- but also something I've followed since it's early creation.


I need to finish watching Marble Hornets. I got to around the Entry #50 -- but never finished the rest. In my opinion (and I've discussed this with Troy) those first 1-25'ish are the absolute worst. I still remember being back in high school and staying up with my Swedish friend watching every single one that came out. Needless to say, it was an automatic all nighter since we couldn't shut our eyes for a second.

Okay, now I need to go watch those.

I absolutely love Marble Hornets. Anything psychological-horror typed, I'm hooked to. Especially one that's inspired from a popular internet meme.

Once I started, I couldn't stop. Went through all the entries in one night. They're about 3.5 hours long if watched back-to-back. I won't give away any spoilers, since you haven't finished it.

I think my favorite aspect is how real "Jay" makes it all seem. He's simultaneously blogging about the events on Twitter as if its really happening, and at the same time, he has a mysterious doppelganger who has his own YouTube account by the name 'totheark'.

Brilliant.
