Rammstein? They were introduced to me by a friend, never again. That's some messed up stuff.

I do know exactly what you mean. I only like the way "some" of their songs sound as far as the music. Since I do not speak German, I have have no idea what the lyrics are. I am quite sure that is a good thing because, more than likely, I would absoluely hate the words to the somgs. This is another reason that I only one CD of theirs and I only bought it for one particular song that I liked the way the music sounded.

Oedius, lot of songs by Rammstein are based around sex/ disturbing crap, if you take the lyrics to google translate, or watch the videos with translated lyrics subtitles, you'll see what I mean

Thanks Isaac, I do appreciate you letting me know about them because the lyrics definately do make all the difference in the world. I may need to examine more closely some of my other musical choices.

You mean like every American rap artist today? :P

Not all of Rammstein's work is crude. As someone who can interpret German -- a lot of it has deeper meaning. Take for example the song, "Amerika". It speaks how American culture seems to be poisoning the rest of the world with greed & lust. And how America constantly wars and exploits other countries that they've been at war with to further the "American cause".

Just because it's German, doesn't mean it's "Nazi" or explicit.

However, there are indeed a few of their obscure songs that are a bit distasteful, hahahah.

Slenderman, believe me when I say that I would be the last person to EVER stuck up for or defend any rap song or "artist". And I understand what you are saying about Rammstien. But at same time, I can think of many, many other groups who truely show thier ignorance & bias in their lyrics the same way as that example. I mean really, NO country is in a position to be pointing fingers at America, in spite of it's flaws, without being blatantly dishonest & extemely hypocritical. I have the utmost respect for the German people and I would never judge them by certain elements in their society just as I would hate to think of this country being judged by many in Hollywood and certain other "entertainers" in the music world. Not to mention the fools in our current administration.
