To those who dislike dive bombing. I have noticed that a lot of the players that don't like dive bombing are spawn-killers. The big difference (morally) is that spawn-killers are as close to cheating as the game allows (excluding tank spawn-killers) because you are hitting players while they are weakest/defenseless. Dive bombers are only hidden at altitude as soon as they break a certain altitude they are fair game as long as you have someone guarding the base. I dive bomb most of if i think that the base is unguarded. it takes time to climb to an altitude that is invisible to relatively low fighters so while we are up high you may be owning our base, it's a good strategic move sometimes. I have been shot down by good players when diving in even with evasive maneuvers. when direct attack is not an option because the players n the other team are too good for you to make a direct assault, the only choices are to go a long way round route or dive bomb. I figured out that as a noob if i wanted to bomb this was my best chance and that's probably why my k/d ratio is as good as it is for how long i have been playing. Like I have said before I don't spawn-kill cause it is wrong in my eyes but I have been very tempted to do so against high ranking players but i resisted temptation for the simple fact that i get more pleasure from a clean kill that an easy kill and I am not just out to get point. However I don't know how much longer I can stand to get spawn-killed and not start to do the same at that point though I will still only kill those who i have seen spawn-kill. If i had been spawn killing all along my k/d ratio would be well over 2:1 but I'm closing in on 2:1 anyway so I see no reason to do so.

I try to do the same, even though I seldom do it by plan. What happens is if I'm shot by someone the moment I appear, and if I notice the name I go after that person a couple of times in a row, and if he appears on the airstrip I shoot as soon as I get the chance, - although I'm seldom in the right place at the right time to shoot him before he takes off, - but if I can I do.

High-altitude dive bombing is just beautiful: - the planning, doing it only if there are tactical advantages, - then the epic high altitude duels you may have if someone follows you, - the peaceful flight across the map, the exact alignment of the plane before diving, - the evasive maneuvres when going down (two particular methods seem strangely effective), - the techniques of not being shot down by being too relaxed when leveling out again, the possibility of keeping good players busy at their own base for a long time afterwards, and then the low level flight back home to get a new bomb, - shooting stray tanks on the way.

So are you saying you hate dive bombers or like them becouse I'm a dive bomber.

I hate dive bomber and I am a spawnkiller, atleast I dont make it to the enemy base by hiding like a little coward, and when I do make it spawn killing, and I make the spawn killing treatment extra special for dive bombers and people who become soldiers on carrier. Its not cheating to dive bomb and its not cheating to spawn kill, but dive bombers ruin a good game, like when there is a good game going on, dive bombers come in and bomb and that game gets finished every quickly, and dive bombers have no skill, going up high coming down and bomb, qhile spawn killing takes skill, enemy base, killing aall enemy in air and then spawn killing. And some are bound to get into air some time and then surviving all takes skill. If not then I dare u to spawn kill me, and I will dive bomb,

you have to run a cost benefit analysis whenever you decide on dive bombing or spawn killing

I have seen people waste time on spawn killing instead of bombing the hangars, only to have a whole bunch of aces appear as reds and turn the game over

I hate dive bombers and I'm not a spawnkiller. I kinda agree with bomber becuz they do ruin the game a little by just going so freaking high and avoiding aces and others. They just run away into high altitudes and think that their safe. Its ticks me off.

I find that I get through maybe 30% of the time when I do a high bomb run - it is frustrating to have spent so much time doing the high circuit only to get hit feet before the target, even though doing radical maneuvers on the way down. The long trip there for maybe a small chance of getting through makes me think twice about it. When I do succeed it is a rush as then I can also tie up some around the ship to help others come in by keeping any reds busy. The only bad point (for me) is I am not much of a threat in getting any quick kills, I sure can chase them around...

As to thinking going high to bomb is some sort of cowardly act or cheating that is pure nonsense. It is a good strategy that if combined with several going low there is a much greater chance on completing the mission. It is not a cheap shot like spawn killing (which does take a lot of skill to do repeatably) - high bomb runs are well within not only the parameters of the game, but also mimics real life in aerial warfare.

I was recently in a game against BigBoss, Maximus??, and others of similar skills - suicide going head to head with them - they have an uncanny knack of picking off the equivalent of fly shit in the sky. I must admit I try again and again. When faced with such overwhelming skills in the opposition my reaction is not to go around or high but to try something new as now the game is a real challenge! I love the new odds in their favor - why? Because it would be a rush to get lucky, and even a bigger one to win the game.
