I just received notification that Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is now available for my phone and was wondering who currently uses this? There are a few features that sound nice.

Integrated screenshot capture (accomplished by holding down the Power and Volume-Down buttons)

Face Unlock, a feature that allows users to unlock handsets using facial recognition software

Ability to shut down apps that are using data in the background

Better voice integration and continuous, real-time speech to text dictation

I need an ice cream sandwich.....

Does this work for tablets

I'm not sue if it is available for tablets, but surely if it's not they will have something like it for them soon.

Im runni.g 4.0.4 nhst got it on my galXy note. You definTely should get it who wants to be even further behind than we alreadyare with jellybean just dropping?

Yes bomer its available for the s2 s3 and galaxy tablet too.

BUT its not over the Ir you must use kies on the pc.

This is probably nothing to do with my Droidx2 but, my current version shows to be 2.3.5. Hopely will be able to upgrade to something newer soon.

There arent udates alot, usually u have to get a new phone to get the new firmware. Later guys I am going to sleep, best weekend ever though. Fun and busy.

Oedius 2.3.5 is what they call gingerbread. 4.0 or ice creaM sandwich is next. And lastly is 4.1 or jellybean. Each update is device specific so id look yours up online to see if an update is a available because im not familiar with your. Most major updates like from 2.3 to 4.0 ha e to s some on the pc. Minor ones can be done over the air.

Also i hate XT9 on 4.0 it makes up stupid words when you txt. its autocorrect on crack.
