I've had some dogfights go on for 10 minutes. And that's between me and one other pilot, turning battles galore.

I once had other pilots flying around watching, cheering us on, cheering for their respective teammate.

That was fun.

So what was your longest single engagement prior to one plane being downed?

haha, under a minute. i make it end quick, a win or a loss. I try to end the fight before we get into a turning fight anyway. :)

the best way to pull out of turning fights I have come up with is this:

pretend like you are giving up and scared, pull out while zig zagging right left

fake zig zagg a few times before hard turning in again

if they dont follow your move, and keep going straight, youll find them in view

the important thing is to keep them guessing if you plan on going straight, right or left


This also works well in a bomb the hangar/carrier scenario, where you have to turn fight every inch towards the target

This way you are moving the turning fight towards your target


The longest Ive dogfought someone id say is SB or Yukikaze, several minutes for both

this is how i fly !!! :)

I just hold the fire button and hope I hit Bomber.... It's never workes :silly: . One of my long one's was against Rickenfaker. Of course I got shot down but It felt good to last.....He's good...

Well, I can't say for sure because I wasn't timing them. I do believe the longest was well over 5 minutes and close to 10 minutes. There were three of us, (bomber, bigboss and me bigbossman) we were in a hard turning fight. I can only remember seeing bomber like three times. By the time it ended my arms were sore. :angry: and the highly skilled bomber put bigboss down first then I wasn't far behind.
I am happy and proud to have lasted so long against such great aces. B)

About two or three minutes. That's all the time it takes for the faster plane -- and these days, they're all faster than mine -- to catch and kill me as I'm trying to evade by circling (the only maneuver I know).

My longest dogfight was a 2 minute one with ricken and a 3 minute one with bomber in turn fights. I barely won both.

Mine was about 5 or six minutes with 420. Also like 5 with ernst. And 4 minutes with zup. Maybe some were longer but I forget.

Just had a crazy long dogfight. Started with Rickenfaker, Mr Chorizo, and myself. Rick and Chorizo were on the opposing team, both out to get me. After about 5 minutes I finally got Chorizo down, and it was just me and Rickenfaker. the fight went on for another 10 minutes or so, turning, looping, rolling, stalling, and any other maneuver you can think of before he finally got the best of me. Anyway it was a very fun but very tiring game.

I had a long one with Dent the other day, then I ran out of ammo. I asked him how much he had left, and he said he hadnt fired a single shot, and he was just foolin around. I couldnt even beat him when he wasnt even trying.... :P

Guy's calvin usually Best's me........ That game yes I hadn't fired a shot. Sometimes I don't... Sometimes I'll shoot one just incase someone gets me so I can have an even kill death rate. That game was dogfight..... Was in a game the other day with my sopwith I believe it was. Was in bomb the carrier. Bombed twice without firing a shot. Yes I got shot down. :)

Oh, I had one with mbizzi that lasted a while, he had just bombed my carrier and then it was a turning battle to the end. I let him behind me, and then I pulled the famous top gun "hit the brakes and he'll fly right by" then I pushed back down and got him.

I have long chases often......especially during bomb the hanger game.....i dont fire too many shots, mostly because im keeping the enemy busy while the hangers are being bombed....i love to chase at the enemy's base......just recently i was chasing with 3 or 4 playes at once....lasted atleast 5 or aix minutes....

Had a few good long fights tonight with dent and Capt fugate. Managed to get a hit on dent and stay away till somebody else got him. Then fugate got me after I was already tired lol.
