With the lacework insignia of Air Chief Marshal, and with just a dot under it, he has become one of the least visible players on the screen. It is an obvious advantage.

I myself look forward to becoming Major General. Those are the least visible insignia of all: a nice narrow sabre and a thin fencing sword kept together by just one tiny star.

Everyone can become invisible, - they're going to, because top players do it and see it as an advantage.

There's no longer any reason not to tell how it is done: You use simple cut-and patch to change your name into symbols like ±¾¶§÷, nothing more complicated.

It will be an advantage just for a short time. As the number of no-namers grows it will become a huge disadvantage to all.

It will be a real problem to distinguish between friend and foe. Dogfight mode is the only game that can work under those conditions.

It's not really cheating, since the game allows it, but like cheating it only pays to do it when most others don't.

Zuperman, is there any way to make the game display these characters, or to replace them with something? Maybe, if the game cant display a xharacter, it gets replaced with a + or something. That eliminates the problem.

Good! I say that when we find a no namer, or someone with an intentionaly shortened name, we see if they speak english/spanish/ any language that uses displayable characters (with no namers, not shortened names), and if they do, we deal with them like fighter. With the biggest guns we can find.
