Yes we still and always have done evals when it comes to a new member that hasn't been in a squad before, we just don't do the shooting part anymore. Which has me thinking I would like to get that up and running again we have plenty of officer's flying around most of the time I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be able to get that going again. Unless we can come up with something else to take the place of the 3 kill eval.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ran into Wharfrat today...he wanted to know why he got cut.

After watching him sneak against a Misfit and leave games after he gets bombed and killed I can't imagine why...plus he never ever says hi to anyone, never stops by here to say hi...

Myself, being one who went through that process, I liked it... Getting the big M that way was by far better than making moraf but that's just me...

There's one squad who assigns a player to a recruit...that person keeps an eye on him for a bit I think...not sure of exactly how it works as I don't really follow that particular squad much...maybe that's an idea...

As the training officer, I think now that lag is at a minimum, it's a good idea to start evals again...it's always been a good tool to test and teach newer recruits. Gives us an idea how we can best help them to continue the misfit traditions of being the most deadly and feared in the sky

I gotta agree with the Monster here... I think that you discover everything you need to know about the recruit this way: how they fly, where they need improvement, etc...but the biggest things you find out are their attitude and determination. Who cares about the skill? That can always be worked on...

For me, if a guy is taking a pounding and keeps coming back for more... That's grit, that's determination. It will also show their attitude.

My skill never got me a job in life...it was showing up on time, doing what I was told, learning with a good attitude, working well with others...the skill was mastered after all that and in time...and furthermore, I'll take a guy with no skill and great attitude as opposed to skill with baggage any day...

The only thing I found a bit frustrating while wearing the little m was sometimes I could never find someone to evaluate me...nobody communicated too well to me when it came to that. If we could improve on that a bit it would be a lot better.

I say go back to the evals...

Sorry for any confusion. I just remembered a convo in the acehole dissolving evals due to lag and the inability to change sides in servers. That's why I was asking. I always thought the evaluation process was great for new members to ensure they are misfit worthy. I was just a bit lost when I saw a small [m] again.lol

True that. I would say, keep the evaluation! There are so many reasons, make us unique, Know the recruit better and after all , I have enjoyed my days during the eval period. I used to get nervous Still that was definitely a fun part of being into [M]isfits.

Anmanaged to get into a game today w Michael Kane and Pyscho ended up showing up. Fun game.

Keep the evaluations it was a honor to have to earn my big M .it was not easy and made this a family not just a squad .

Every point that has been touched on, including the suggestions to smooth out the eval process is all because WE WENT THROUGH THAT PROCESS! I stand behind everyone's opinions, because I agree with it whole heartedly. When evals were placed on hold due to lag, server probs, ect, I agreed whole heartedly then too. As this game/family/squad has evolved compromises have been made. Its only natural.

But the time has come that I believe evals should be performed again! It was fun! Exciting! Nervous! Embarrassing , sense of accomplishment (when you finally get that officer down), and lastly the feeling of belonging, a home to call yours when it is announced that you have EARNED that big [M]!

As tradition stands a Misfit has a voice here. Now I did miss the last meeting , but if this topic comes up in the next meeting I would like to hear more opinions as I may be missing something that null and voids evals all together.

Until then I ask that we practice that Misfit tradition. For me its the very thread that holds us together and apart from other squads!

All points made are valid, things changed in the past that made it almost impossible. Now it has become easier to find another player. I say we restart the process, and resume the Eval's. Any new officers please PM me about the Eval's, as I have a few suggestions on how to go about them. The game will go on without you, you have to try to get in a corner of the map and conduct the Eval in private. Unless everyone else will cooperate and NOT shoot at either of you.
