Hello? Is this the [M]isfits counselling hotline? Sorry guys I gotta vent here... I am so angry right now. My wife and I have been accused by somebody in my family for being nosy with my grandmother's finances. Ok let me back up a bit...

My grandma is 86 I think. Grandpa passed away in 2011. They sold their farm back in 88 and retired. They have lots of money, this I know, but I could care less about that. She took a bad fall last year and has had to have a live in caregiver for awhile. She doesn't want to move into a senior's lodge and she says she has the money to pay for it so that's what she wants to do. I respect that.

A few weeks back my wife who my grandma loves very much offered to look after her while the caregiver went on holidays. She stayed there all week and came home Friday night. She did this for 2 weeks. Everybody was very thankful (so we thought at the time) as it bailed everybody out of a jam.

My wife ran my grandma out on errands like paying her bills, grocery shopping, going for coffee, etc. She did notice that Grandma was a little carefree in the cheque writing department and became a little concerned. After all, Grandma isn't quite as sharp as she once was and was just wanting to make sure that she didn't make an error and pay one bill three times. Stuff like that.

I just found out yesterday, that a family member and I don't know who, thinks that the only reason my wife is helping is so we get a cut of the inheritance. And she's poking her nose where it doesn't belong. Are you kidding me? My wife has known my grandparents for 25 years. She loves them and they love her. That's it.

Guess what? We get a phone call last night from my aunt asking if my wife will look after Grandma full time...
The caregiver quit. Despite the accusations, my wife still said yes. She said yes because it's my grandma. I can't tell you how much I love and respect and admire my wife for dealing with my idiotic greedy family.

When she passes I can hardly wait to see the godammed Wolves come out of their Sheep's clothing... And they're all gonna get theirs.

Thanks guys. I feel better...

Dang Comet! Are we related? I know exactly where you are at! Sounds just like my "Family" since my Dad passed away. Really no good advice to give you except do what your heart tells you and let the Wolves fight among themselves. In the end, you'll know in your heart who you are and it will make no difference what others think of you.

Ok, a few questions. Won't this cut down on "your" flight time (seeing as your wife does most of it)? Are we also related? I have seen this multiple times over the years. People come out of the woodwork, looking for cash, jewels, or anything they can get their hands on. It's really sad to see people like this. Stay true to your heart, you will feel better after it is all over.

Thanks guys for your support. Von, it hadn't occurred to me that with Mrs. Comet being gone for a few days that I'll have to do all my own flying...I hope I don't screw up her stats too bad. Lol

It just makes sense...we're done raising our kids and my wife enjoys spending time with Grandma. She wasn't particularly fond of her job anyways. Besides she's only 30 minutes away, so it's not like I can't go visit...in fact it's a great excuse to see Grandma a bit more.

I'm pretty sure it's the younger more spoiled grandchildren who are making the fuss...Grandpa and Grandma were busy farming when my brother and I were kids and when they retired, we were off working and raising our families. So they were able to spend time with the younger ones a bit more. Maybe they think because we're not around as much that means we don't care. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Yep guys, we all must be related...truth is, if that was the case, we'd all get along better!

Thanks again everyone!

so as promised ( not that you guys where waiting with an abated breath ) here are some pictures of some big ass ships and some of 2 Hansome chaps . Missed out on the Red arrows though , the place we where initially stood became very busy then the kids got restless so it was back in the car to head up to crosby beach in time for the red arrows but due to road works , road closures and basically slow ass drivers we missed them , but still a great day with the family B)

Hey Misfiteers,

Blu breeze here,
I just had a good idea while dreaming about the old days of df, u know. Back when most everyone got along right. Its still here, but it has faded alot. Ive even noticed the jolly roger is about abandoned. I was thinking of a way to help bring the forum back together as a community and a group and wanted to see what all the forumers thought about my idea. Right now, it seems most everyone stays on their squadron thread, rarely venturing to any other squad thread, unless to send a shout out to a player from that squad. I had the idea, if everyone is on board, to see about making, or asking zup to make a general chat thread. A place where everyone can talk about whatever. To everyone. It seems to me like this would be a great way to involve everyone on the forum and allow a place for everyone to interact, as a community. I love the df community, but it seems its become rather solitary since my leave and id like to see it back to the way it used to be.
My appologies for the copy and paste post and for the abrupt posting from nowhere. I just wanted to see what everyone thinks of this idea.
What are yalls taking on this?

Kindest regards,
tBlu Breeze

Memorial Day. It is a day when we pay tribute and give thanks to those who sacrificed their lives or served our country. I am all for it as I am eternally grateful for those who have bled for the flag of freedom that we live under.

I am grateful for my mom who served in the Air Force and, a few years ago, opened her doors to my son and I, who had to move back in after I lost my fiancé, house, and job (working now) within a few years. She has served her country and her family without thinking twice. This is not the life I expected or chosen, but happy that she is a part of it. My son got out of bed, saying that he couldn't sleep, and she jumped into action saying she would lie with him until he sleeps.

I am grateful for a lot of things...but my family always ranks first, and my mom has been a rock in my life as well as my sons. I may be a disappointment in the way my life turned out, but am happy that I have strong family support. Im not as much a Misfit here as much as a misfit in the world. I don't know where Ill fit in, but will keep you posted.

MISFIT STRONG. MISFITS UNITED. MISFIT LOST :woohoo:

Slatz my Brother, we all lose our way at some point in life. I find it hard to believe you would be considered a disappointment by anyone!
Based on the trials I am facing with my own "Family" at current, I would wager that you and and I have more common ground than we know!
To quote you [M]isfits Strong [M]isfits united [M]isfits more alike than you know!
We gotta get together sometime!

Slatz, I'm sitting here thinking of what to post. First, you do fit in here. Second, I don't believe for a minute that you are a disappointment. We all have to figure out and do what fulfills us...at the same time, we can't view our lives through the eyes of someone else.

Sir Slats, it's has been an observation of mine that life has a weird way of working thru different times or segments if you will. Some folks say it's at our control and we are where we are because that's where we want to be..... BS!!! And a big FU!! To the Skippy dip poops that run around preaching that load of cap passing judgement on others..... really don't care for those goody two shoes, besides they all have some skeleton they're hiding.....

Fact is we are where we are do to both choices made and lady luck or the lack there of... depending deeply on the segment cycle one is on at the time.... I don't know your sittuition, and really it wouldn't be of any benefit to if I did.... but this is what my grandfather would tell me about feeling down about a situation:

Bryan (cause that's my name). At any point in your life no matter what part of your life it is, there is a reason you are there, most times it's for learning. A lesson that must be brought to your path due to the fact that there will be a time in the future you will need this education. It's for the best even when it feels the worst. You have to be a where that life is a journey, a journey of experience and learning. Someday you need to help someone that can only be helped by what you have gine thru and you will become the teacher.... do pay attention it's important......

I love my grandpa, I miss him very much, he never lied to me or gave me bad advice. The first time he said this to me was at the side of my first born sons grave.....

Your lucky to have a mom that lives and cares for you and your boy and I do know that if you keep your chin up things some how always get better....

Best wishes my friend,... pay attention.

You find the air rather stagnant and laggy even with good wifi. Lag has made a monstrous comeback.

Good morning [M]isfits, I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend!

I just want to say that the support here for each other is second to none. Thanks to you all, this is what it is all about. I'm very lucky and fortunate to be in this squad. [M]embership has its privileges!

Promised myself I wouldn't cry...oh bother...

Thanks again guys.
Bannerless and naked. Whatever...

I know there are car guys and farm guys here, so thought I'd share a couple of pics I took from my friend's farm out on the eastern plains of Colorado. Look what I got to play around with!

Got that sucker into third gear and up to 40 MPH!
Something about driving a 1930 Ford Model A on a dirt track out on the plains that just feels right!

The hood ornament is also the temp gauge. That little piece of glass tubing in the center shows your engine temp.

Have a good one, Misfits!

Back for a bit Brothers. Things were getting under my skin. Chilled out now.

Man! What a day! Can't believe the flipping mess they made of things at work! Did indeed get a raise today!! Told them " I guarantee you missed me more than I missed you and we need to discuss some things!

Gonna take a bit to settle back in and find that groove I know, but I'll get there!

Wanted to say an extra thanks to the Brothers that came to Blue Fighter's and my aid today.
It means more than you will ever know to have that kind of support!

Totally forgot about your video, said I was gonna do a little something and forgot. Actually started on it a few weeks ago and got side tracked. Is there still time to get it in?
