Memorial Day. It is a day when we pay tribute and give thanks to those who sacrificed their lives or served our country. I am all for it as I am eternally grateful for those who have bled for the flag of freedom that we live under.
I am grateful for my mom who served in the Air Force and, a few years ago, opened her doors to my son and I, who had to move back in after I lost my fiancé, house, and job (working now) within a few years. She has served her country and her family without thinking twice. This is not the life I expected or chosen, but happy that she is a part of it. My son got out of bed, saying that he couldn't sleep, and she jumped into action saying she would lie with him until he sleeps.
I am grateful for a lot of things...but my family always ranks first, and my mom has been a rock in my life as well as my sons. I may be a disappointment in the way my life turned out, but am happy that I have strong family support. Im not as much a Misfit here as much as a misfit in the world. I don't know where Ill fit in, but will keep you posted.
MISFIT STRONG. MISFITS UNITED. MISFIT LOST
