How sad am I that im so bad with this modern aged stuff I don't have a idea about TVs!!
I mean seriously they have smart TVs now??
Ive been looking for sometime, just came upon this at Best Buy...this is more $$$ then I was planning on spending.
So wondering if this is the route I should take..am looking for 55-65 inch TV.
That will about fill my living room,
Thanks for you help geeks guys!
Birdie
That's a nice tv but if you don't plan on using the 3D a lot you might want to check and see if you can save a few bucks getting one without it. I haven't bought a new tv in a few years but the 3D models were more expensive at the time. Also the glasses were around $50 and each( but they may be cheaper these days).
Boaz,
Thank you
I don't plan on using the 3D, in the movie theater gives this Bird a headache
The reason and this might be a sales pitch IDK, but I was told because of the processor of the 3D or something about the 3D
Makes the picture even better on regular TV.
But then there's the 4K ultra HD.
So crazy all the choices out there.
SkyRipper, am I sorry you dug such a deep hole with the missus!!
Cuz, I updated from those TVs 10 years ago
Hope you have good binocs when that old timer fizzles out on ya
Miss Birdie, go to Walmart or Best Buy, or some other electronics store. Tell the salesman to go away. Watch as many as you can. Then pick out the one that looks the best. I have a Vizio, I'm happy with it.
Listen to the green guy, go to the store and take a closer look. I work with this every day, and it has always been my advice when asked. I would even dare to pick up a remote in the store and touch it

to get a feel of the tv. Other than that, I would stick to a well known brand. We do sell a lot of big screen Sharp tv's at the moment 60"->80" (keep in mind European models, i don't know if they are different from the US ones) mostly for professional use, offices, meeting rooms, schools and so. They perform quite well, but are a bit "slow". Picture quality is great.
