Howdy misfits...this has been a very busy/nonbusy day...thats the way it is with court. I'll be attending a funeral this afternoon. My son's cousin died unexpectedly Saturday and will be laid to rest. Then of course the trusty beer run following which I believe it will be my night to cook...im hoping for some red killin this evening!

Ladies and gentlemen I am stopping by to express an unpopular opinion that coincides with the opinion of a player that is fairly unpopular amongst us.

As great as many of you would be at the Global Mod position. I must say that I do not want them back. I understand the need, but the risks to those that are named and those that would pursue those that are named are just too great. I cannot personally see the benefit of it all especially to those in this squad. Just being an "unpopular puffin" for those for you that know your memes.

Im.sorry bro.but i have to.disagree the mods are needed especially now the servers are open again the noobs that think they can swear up.a storm and the players that spawn kill over and over and over the guys that know they lag and use it for a wepon are the guys that ruin the game for all. They need to be taken under consideration for what they do. How many games ive lost because someone jumps to my side and bombs our hanger because they got shot down cant go on. I see it all the time the hours i fly are a bit off so i get a lot of jerks. Thats why im so happy to see misfits or other upstanding pilots. Theres to many people that just want to reck the game for everyone else

I would probably agree having gone through the mess in the past...but recent game play and foul language proved a need for unbiased censorship. There are those who not only ruin gameplay with team killing (excessive and deliberate) and team hanger bombing, but those who cannot control their language. Just sayin. This should be a clean, family oriented game as we do have minors playing.

The thought here is that I feel that so much effort is put towards this end of things by Zup yet the game and gameplay itself continues to deteriorate. I can't help but feel this provides another distraction for the real issues at hand here. Like I said just my "unpopular puffin" opinion here.

My thought is why make it someone that plays the game. This in my opinion should come from Zup and the echoboom staff. Look at everyone who in the past wore that maroon tag. How much do you see of any of them now? Why would we willingly subject ourselves and our squadmates to the same fate? I understand the need and agree, I just can't see it being players who thoroughly enjoy this game.

True..to a point. But remember, zup is the sole person working on the game..his project. So, I think it would be difficult, but wrong to put the task on others at echoboom. You raise good points.

I agree zup cant do it himself please dont forget hes alone doing this. He needs time to get things straight he cannot be a mod and a dev. And the mods need to be out there for the good of the game. Theres kids playing and investors watching yeah zup owns the company but he needs investors to future the game and what investor would let their kid play the game with all the swearing and what investor would put money into the game when they try it only to be spawnkilled or team killed at will and then told off for trying to fly. The older guys can handle their own but the new guys dont know. The game is after all the only thing that matters. Just think a world without df. The hospitals would be full of guys and girls in straight jackets running around yelling rat a tat tat thinking their in ww1 fighters

I know most look at this holistically, but as an officer of this squad I must ask these questions in view of our squad. How would this bring about benefits to us as a squad? The risks to having a squad member put in a precarious position due to something outside the squad does not, in my opinion, outweigh the rewards of being able to hold said position. I think we do a decent enough job of this in house and to have to start worrying about things that occur outside of our house becomes a detriment to us as a squad. Perhaps this is a selfish view, but a conviction that I hold fast to nevertheless.

If such responsibility as a global mod position is given to a member of this squad, there is no benefit. As a moderator an unbiased opinion outweighs any connection to squads or friendships. We have always handled inner issues as a squad.

However I ask you this, how else do you propose dealing with those outside of squads who continue to flood the forum and game with foul language and bad behavior.

Is it in your opinion to just ignore any or all or just the issues you deem appropriate? Ignore all matters except those that affect the squad? What then is the benefit to the game as a whole? If this is your stance and this squad followed that belief, we would not have a right to say anything about those who choose to behave badly. What then would any comment left on threads addressing these issues mean? Nothing, our thoughts and opinions would have no weight.

I have played this game for almost a year and a half. One day I will be good at it. I have fallen in love with this game and MOST of the people in it. My wife says it is an addiction, I disagree. The reason I put my hat in the ring, was for the game first, the squad second. I love all of my squadmates, but the game comes first. No game, no squad, Right? If being a Mod helps the game, I'm in. If it doesn't work, at least I can say I tried. I can't just sit and watch what We love go down hill. Something must be done. So now we wait, if I am chosen, I will do my best. That's all I can do.

I don't have problems with anyone in the game. There are some things though that make me smh. I had a difficult time explaining to an unnamed pilot why it is I don't condone dropping my bombs in a bomb mission. Besides the fact is easier for me to kill with bomb attached, the purpose is to bomb. This unnamed pilot thinks I have a double standard because I won't hesitate to jump in a tank and shoot a plane(and yes, I did tank the unnamed pilot). He feels dropping furthers the mission...probably in a round about way, they do. However, my position is that many do it to pad stats. Anyway, I tried to expand that the tank shots further the mission by hitting the carriers...hangers and that the tank can and does defend against planes. He called it a double standard and decided to blab about it on world chat...ugh. I think someone was just looking for an argument...he's not getting one'.

The tank is in the game for a reason...and you're deadly in one Monster! I agree with you, the vast majority of droppers are not doing it for any reason other than to pad stats. With a tank you can bomb the base or carrier and get planes too.

But hey, in real wars some generals had stupid battle plans....and they lost....

Lmao...look who is complaining about the Misfits rules some people just never give up. So let me get this straight, tanks shooting planes will be the next thing to complain about! Here is something that is listed on most of the servers on another game that I play.

They will kick you from the server if you don't. The complainers don't even get a chance to play. So when the water works start here in dogfight just remember PTFO!!!

Lmao they wouldn't have liked me very much last night I was on fire with my tank.. wish bh was there to see it last night, I blasted the hell out of planes,hangars and that ship I took for 100% to 0% with May tank. now if that's not the objective of the game then I will give it up. NOT!!
