Not long ago I received a promotion and was given a star to take on the task of Media Officer - something I very much appreciate. However, I cannot do a good job of it as long as a steady stream of gasoline is poured on the flames, and I shouldn't have to explain what I'm talking about.
Looking through posts from the last 3 three days - I mean stepping back and reading through the eyes of a prospective recruit - I can't see how anyone would want to join the Misfits while there is so much shit being flung. Why would anyone want to bring themselves into a shit storm of negativity when they could go somewhere free of drama?
So I ask you all to cool it for a while before it escalates and causes irreparable damage to our reputation as a whole. This squad has a very sound set of values that are put into practice every day in game, it's just here on the forum that we're coming up short. I know, there are a dozen "but Reckless" arguments to be made and I know every single one of them - all moot points as long as our name is being tarnished, and make no mistake it IS tarnished. The founding fathers of this squad worked too hard, for too long, and against too many obstacles to see that happen so quickly.

My decision to join this squadron was based on the behavior of people in it and how I saw them, how I saw the squad and where my place was within it - I challenge you all to live up to that.....if you can.

In short, we are too good for this shit. Let someone else be an asshole, it seems to come naturally.

I have mentioned this in the past, bait tactics are common in the game and on the forum. Don't allow yourself to get hooked, it's a great distraction if you bite.

If you can embellish the memory of that first moment you played the game, then maybe you will enjoy it more than the futile exchange on the forum.

Remember the fun and ignore the rest.

I'm not sure who here knows what about me but I come here with my white flag waving, seeking diplomacy.
I have failed to keep up with this latest onslaught between yourselves and DD's but I've seen enough for me to rightly or wrongly see that this latest 'feud' is probably being fuelled by past problems.

Firstly, I can't remember when or even where but I remember a long post by BzerkBzerk reminding everyone that we're all here for the same reason, fun and although we might or might not always see eye to eye there is no need for such hostilities. So if it's serious take it to PM and if it's just a niggle, breath in and out and try and get past the rage before typing.
If things hadn't had worked out the way they did with the 'WhipGate' controversy, you wouldn't have one of the funniest (albeit weirdest), most craziest and arguably one of the best players in the game.

Secondly, all those standing up against T.A.S.K were surprisingly sheepish when the late LoK gave birth to this controversial beast/baby, (aimed at Wig ! More than anyone) which makes me think that this is just another excuse to fall out with
Whip.

You guys have done amazingly well with The Misfits and are coming up to another well earned milestone, so please don't allow your one thousandth page to be anything but a true Misfit post.

I hope you read this the way it's meant to be, which is non malicious, non confrontational and trying to be diplomatic.

I have pulled the plug on The Looney Bin and fully intend to ask to join the DD's but do not wish to join them in the middle of another purposeless war of words.

If I have offended you please PM me and I will do my best to explain anything that could've been taken out of context and if you feel that I have been deliberately out of order, take your complaint to Ghost and he can get me gone forever in a flash.
