Finally able to.fly as long as game isn't full .
Now that I can I find that in a game the losing side will leave when time is close to ending WTH.doesn't seem right to win a game by a time limit .so now all you need is one hanger and defend the rest of the time for a win .what the hell is right about that .so much for the game name of dog fight .

you don't win if time runs out, you get a tie (nobody wins, nobody loses) and both sides get the points you would get if you lost, and again... i'm testing how it works best

i dont like it zup now ive got no excuse to say ill do the dishes later.But seriously can you make it 40 mins instead 20 mins as in gaming terms 20 is like 5 minutes ive played hours and it seems like 10 mins as when your gaming time seems to go real fast

Hey Zup can you place a timer on inactive players in game ? It used to be awful in df1 when players would sit in games till the end and not contribute because they didn't want to leave just for the sake of a few points and ruin the whole game

Wait what no one wins everyone gets equal.points .if I spend time hammering someone or getting hammered on .there should be a clear winner .other than that what's the point of playing .it's like a old dueling match someone has to win .

keep in mind, in Elite you get points for hits, not just kills. so if you bloody up the reds real good, you're getting more points then they are that way.

What if there was an option for game length? Choose 20 min. 40 min. Or 1 hr+.

A good bombing mission with experienced pilots can go for hours .those games are a test of will to bye Victor goes the spoils..20 minutes is just to short of time .

Capture the flag and ctc are the games that should have time limit.when I did play capture the flag in real life there were time limits.but I don't ever remember seeing any wars with time limits

Ok trying to.play keep.jumping into games and bang it's over .times up come on zup junk the time.limit .I would like.enough time to at least shoot some reds .one hanger ends a game really

That's a really good idea Jacob. Like darraxx said 20 minutes should be capture the flag, 40 minutes for capturing the ships and the zeppelin. And 1h+ for all other bombing games.

The timer is a joke any way the 20 mins came up and the header said DRAW everyone left the game .
as i was killed as DRAW came up i press retry and i was able to carry on the game took the last 20% of carrier out myself got the points for the bombs and the win ! HA a glitch

I think you'd see everyone hit 1 hr+. Might be a good for data mining to see what people want.

DF 1 has that same glitch I guess it’s something in the system. It’s not cause by timer; Zup should be able to fix it.

I do.see a.lot of people say that sucked in the next game .just when the game gets rolling and everyone hits their stride .the game is done.if a couple of hangers have been hit.many people do look for the (dare I say epic ) games .

have not played elite for a few weeks as DF is still way more fun
and here is why i thought i would venture into elite yesterday and had a awesome game with LT DAN (this guy rocks in elite)he just got the flag and was about to return it to base he was over the runway with the flag TIME UP ! its a draw another 10 seconds and we would win.My second game i fly all the way to enemy base i see the hangars and there loads left i bomb one hangar game over i win i only played for 4 minutes there was still 12 minutes on the clock sorry zup the increased damage sucks just like the timer does not sure why your doing it but the fun has just gone from the game

The timer...

Pros:

- My wife likes it better when I tell her "this game is almost over" and it is.
- I have not been late for work because DF in a while.
- My tiny phone screen doesn't hurt my eyes if I only play 20 minutes at a time.
- People don't complain about someone coming in and ruining their epic game with a sneak.
- I can get one more game before bed and actually get a decent amount of sleep.
- If you are seriously out numbered you only have to defend until the clock runs out.
- I can play more games in a sitting.
- Faster games can encourage people to use more creative tactics.
- It's nice to mix up the games so players switch up sides more often.


Cons:

- Having a game end in a time-out draw when you're about to win sucks.
- Losing a game because the enemy took out only 3 hangars sucks.
- Not having time to "turn the tide" on a losing game sucks.

i agree with some of what you say but it takes just over 2 mins to fly the feild 20 mins doesnt cover it i have played long games over 3 hours and wish they would end because i dont wanna leave them
