So if I've been fighting hard and I have finally gotten through and I'm just about to bomb a couple hangers with my bombs, and some new guy joins the game I would then get sent all the way back to my base to start again?

What happens if that player joins the game, and we get reset to the base but then that player decides to leave? Now I take off, get halfway across the field, and then another person joins. Now I get sent back again?
